Originally, the game was titled "Don't Escape: 4 Days in a Wasteland". However, the game's title was changed when inXile Entertainment contacted Armor Games Studios and asked them to change it to avoid brand confusion, as they owned the trademark for the term "Wasteland" and were actively developing Wasteland 3 at the time.
