For Echo Pine's design, Mythridate took inspiration from the design of Junpei, the protagonist of 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. Specifically, she was inspired by Junpei wearing three layers of clothing: this led to her giving Echo "a blue dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a grey sweater vest atop that, and a tri-color windbreaker above it all".
