The alternate palettes "Warrior Land" and "SS Syrup" are both references to the Wario Land series, the primary inspiration for Antonblast. Their descriptions also allude to this, with the former stating "We owe it all to him" (referencing Wario, the titular protagonist of the series), and the latter stating "A wardrobe fit for a Captain" (a reference to Captain Syrup, the main antagonist of the first two Wario Land games).
