Despite appearing as a Ferrari 458 in the Transformers: Dark of the Moon film, within the game adaptation, Mirage's vehicle mode does not bear the likeness of the car. This could be due to Ferrari being very protective of their trademark and license, as within the original movie, Mirage is never seen being damaged or going into Stealth Mode. To get around this in the game, Mirage appears as a car that is similar, but legally distinct to the Ferrari 458. Mirage also goes by the name "Dino" in the movie as not to undermine the toy company Mattel, who owned the Ferrari license.
