According to developer Nikson in 2023, Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon had expressed interest in adding his fangame Those Nights at Rachel's to the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative, but he declined the offer as he was more interested in developing a remake of The Joy of Creation than remaking Those Nights at Rachel's. Nikson had previously stated he had no future plans for the game out of his own lack of interest.
