Glowstick Entertainment had plans to remake Super Dark Deception in a different engine in response to controversial changes Unity made to their policies regarding software installation in 2023. However, after Unity's response to the criticisms about these changes, the game's creator Vincent Livings confirmed that the game would remain a Unity game.
