In June 2022, cut video game content website The Cutting Room Floor leaked the ROM of an unreleased version planned for the SNES.

According to designer and programmer Jim Burton, publisher Psygnosis cancelled it when it was 80% complete due to poor sales of the Genesis version.
WarioWare: Twisted!

Although announced, the game was never released in Europe. The release date had been constantly pushed back from its original June 24th, 2005 date before being cancelled altogether with no official explanation.

One rumor that circulated about why the European release was cancelled were false claims that the game's unique gyroscope cartridge required mercury, which the European Union had banned from use in certain electrical and electronic products, to help the gyroscope function.
The Walking Dead
1
The game was originally pitched by Telltale as a spin-off of Valve's Left 4 Dead franchise, but Valve turned down the pitch leaving Telltale to go to Robert Kirkman to successfully pitch him a game based on his Walking Dead comic book series. The same unique choice-based story-driven style of gameplay was kept by Telltale developers between the canceled Left 4 Dead project and the greenlit Walking Dead project, which the devs thought was a better fit for Kirkman's universe than Valve's franchise anyway and which would also be a style that would be reused heavily by Telltale in their later licensed games.
Gex Jr.

Attachment In 2022, a proof of concept demo for a potential Gex game dating back to January 25, 2001 was dumped online. Titled "Gex Jr.", the demo features one short level in a "Media Museum" where you control Gex Jr. (presumably voiced by Dana Gould), collecting soda cans, cracking pop culture references, and making use of a dedicated fart button.

According to several developer quotes included with the dumped demo, it was developed by ImageBuilder Software, who were previously commissioned to make CD-ROM edutainment titles for other companies that were mostly in 2D animation, but featured some 3D rendered elements. Gex Jr. originated as a different 3D platformer demo called "DINO", starring that titular character, with all character assets being built and animated in Maya. According to one developer's recollection of the demo: "The dinosaur character was very cute. As I remember, he roared and trotted around, possibly shot his tongue out as an attack like Gex."

At some point, the team turned DINO into Gex Jr. on their own in the hopes of selling the idea, but it never came to be. It's not remembered if Gex Jr. was supposed to be a younger version of Gex, or a son, or having any familial relation to Gex at all. However, the last developer comment seems to hint at how Gex Jr. was conceived in-game: "As far as Gex f***ing... you did play the games right? Remember the babe Agent Xtra?... I'm just sayin."

WWE 2K20
1
WWE 2K20 was so poorly received due to its quality that WWE 2K21 was cancelled in April 2020 and the series would not release a new title for almost 3 years.

The general state of the game can mostly be attested to long time developer Yuke's departure from the series in August 2019, 3 months before the game was eventually released. 2K would shift development over to their NBA developer Visual Concepts, but they would ultimately have many issues taking over another developer's project months before release.
Company: Nintendo
1
Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé was approached by rapper Kanye West with an idea of a video game, later to be known as "Only One", which was based on his late mother, Donda West, where players have to "guide his mother to the gates of Heaven by holding her to the light." Fils-Aimé politely declined his offer due to the amount of projects that were currently in development within the company at the time.

According to a later article by Nintendo Everything, West attempted to pitch his game idea to Shigeru Miyamoto as well, showing him a prototype for Only One during E3 2015. Miyamoto described the game as "very interesting" and "very moving," voicing his approval for the idea, but ultimately didn't go through with it, likely due to Nintendo's glut of prior commitments.
