Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel

Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is "roughly" placed between fallout and fallout 2.
Although not directly mentioned in the fallout timeline, it has nods to the original fallout with the original Vault Dweller, along with Rhombus, a head paladin for the Lost Hills chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel, and aspects of the super mutant uprising.

One of Beowulf's blockbusters involves performing three uppercuts that each create an image of a howling wolf, which launches the opponent in mid air. After that, an image of a moon appears as he performs a body slam on the opponent. This is a reference to the infamous Three Wolf Moon T-shirt on Amazon.com.

"The Underdome" in Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot DLC is an obvious reference to the movie Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome.

Attachment In the Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC location, Moxxi's Red Light, there are several references to the other DLCs behind the bar. There is a brain, Hank Reiss' hat, and a Jack-o-Lantern which reference the first DLC, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. There is also a model Claptrap with a moustache similar to that of Dr. Ned and a Marcus bobble-head.

A rare item called the Ring of Betrothal can be obtained inside of the chalice dungeons. Having the ring in the inventory unlocks the option to "Propose Marriage" when talking to Annalise, Queen of the Vilebloods. However, Annalise will reject the offer.

Attachment The character Meryl Silverburgh that first appeared in Metal Gear Solid is heavily based on the character with the same name from the game Policenauts. Both have remarkably similar designs, both are involved with FOXHOUND, and both even have the same Japanese voice actor, Kyoko Terase. In Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the likeness between the two is taken even further, as Meryl wears bullet-earrings like her Policenauts-counterpart and also has an Ed and Jonathan on her team.

After defeating a BB member in their Beast stage, they will shed their armor and go into their Beauty stage of the fight. If the player avoids them for about two to three minutes while they are in this stage, both the player and the BB member chasing them will be transported to a white room.
If the player uses the camera in this white room, the BB member will pose randomly. Even more, if the player uses the iPod and plays the song "Oishii Two-han Seikatsu", the BB member will briefly dance to the song.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

During the final showdown Spoiler:between Snake and Ocelot, the characters' life bars change names and graphics to represent the life bars featured in the other main Metal Gear Solid games. First it's Solid Snake and Liquid for Metal Gear Solid, Solid Snake and Liquid Ocelot for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and finally Naked Snake and Ocelot for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

With each change, the background music also changes to the representative theme from each title.

Attachment Throughout the Dead Man's Switch campaign there are presidential campaign posters for the Great Dragon Dunkelzahn. However in the Shadowrun Universe he isn't elected till 2057, while the game takes place in late 2054.

In the lower area of Shattrath City, there are two NPCs which are references to He-Man and Skeletor from the "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" cartoon. These are Adam Eternum (Alliance), who can be seen with his mount which bears a striking resemblance to He-Man's Battle Cat, and Keldor the Lost (Horde), who claims Adam Eternum has stolen his "grey skull", a further reference to the series' Castle Greyskull.

The two also made appearances in the WoW Trading Card Game.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Attachment During the mission Cleanliness Uprising, the player interacts with a robot named R-0513. This blue and white robot with an obsession with hygiene is a reference to Rosie from The Jetsons.

In "The Pitt" DLC the player can collect 100 steel ingots and return them to a man named Everett. After turning in all 100 Everett says "Yup, guess you got every last one out there. You're one hell of a steeler, kid." The name 'steeler' is a common nickname for steel workers, but is also a reference to the NFL team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

There is a cave called "From Cave" that holds many references to Demon's Souls.

•The cave itself is a reference to the company, From Software, who developed Demon's Souls. They also published 3D Dot Game Heroes in Japan.
•An item can be found inside called "Sticky White Stuff," which is a reference to the in-game item in Demon's Souls of the same name.
•Two messages can be found on the ground, one saying "It's safe here," and "I'm in trouble! Please recommend this message!" referring to the player-left messages.
•A "Hero's Soul" can be found lying on a corpse, just as in Demon's Souls.
•There is an NPC who says "Come on guys, this game isn't THAT hard..." referring to the overwhelmingly high difficulty of Demon's Souls.

Attachment There was originally going to be a joke creature in the game called Lobstrosity. The creature would have been part of an Easter egg triggered by entering a cheat code. The name Lobstrosity is a reference to Lobstrosities from Stephen King's The Dark Tower series of novels.

The cheat codes for the game are all references to Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Similarly, the cheats in the game's expansion packs Armageddon's Blade and The Shadow of Death are references to Star Wars: Episode I and The Matrix.
