The Finals was criticized for using an A.I. text-to-speech program created by ElevenLabs to artificially generate the character's voices, rather than using traditional voice actors. In response, developer Embark Studios claimed that the generated voicework is based on a mix of professional voice actors and temporary voices from Embark employees.
