According to a statement from developer Beethoven & Dinosaur following the game's release, the reason Mixtape doesn't have a streamer mode (meant to remove licensed music or replace it with music approved for livestreaming) was because the developers felt the licensed music was "the soul of Mixtape", as much of the game is linked to the music via characters mentioning the songs and the levels being designed around them.
