Pre-ordering the game through Amazon in the US included a Virtual Console download version of Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 2, the 1993 Super Famicom game. This is the first time the game has been officially available in the US, though the game is still in Japanese.

The international release of the game lacks the opening song from the Japanese release, "Kuu Zen Zetsu Go" by Takayoshi Tanimoto.
