If you play the game on your birthday, a special cutscene will play where Sam dreams the crew at Drawbridge is throwing a surprise birthday party for "someone" (the player from their point of view, not Sam). Charlie accidentally knocks a birthday cake on the floor during the scene, but Higgs enters the room with a back-up pizza, referencing Spoiler:the pizzas he ordered from Sam under the alias Peter Englert in the first game. During the game's development, director Hideo Kojima recorded two motion capture takes of this scene on April 9, 2023. The second take, which was used in the final game, continued filming after the scene ended to record a surprise birthday party for Tomorrow's actress Elle Fanning, who turned 25 on the day of filming, complete with a custom birthday cake adorned with Bridge Babies.
