Franchise: Wreck-It Ralph

Sonic and Dr. Eggman’s cameos in the 2012 film "Wreck-It Ralph" and its 2018 sequel "Ralph Breaks the Internet" can be attributed to a Sonic the Fighters arcade cabinet being in Litwak’s Arcade. The arcade cabinet in the film uses the title "Sonic Championship", as the game was named this outside of Japan. Despite the game using the classic designs for the characters, Sonic and Eggman are shown in their modern designs inside the gaming world.

Q*Bert co-creator Warren Davis, although highly grateful for the character's continued longevity, dislikes that modern portrayals of the character, such as those in Disney's Wreck-It Ralph, Adam Sandler's Pixels, and the Q*Bert: Rebooted game make his nose "flaccid".
