Around Poppy Playtime's release, Mob Entertainment developer Ekrcoaster accused Mob Entertainment of plagiarizing his game, Venge. In a statement, Mob Entertainment CEO Zach Belanger denied these accusations, stating there was no intent to plagiarize.
