Team Silent, the development team within Konami that made the first four games in the Silent Hill series, was not a cohesive unit of the same developers, and many of their games had different key staff who only worked on a couple of games and not the exact same team each time. After the dissolution of Team Silent during the development of Silent Hill 4: The Room, subsequent Silent Hill entries were developed by Western studios and negatively received by critics and fans alike, with some wishing for Team Silent to reunite to develop the series.
