In the episode "Bizarre Bazaar" of the animated series "Amphibia", during a race that Anne and Sprig have against their opponent, he uses a blue-shelled flying beetle with spikes that automatically chases and hits Anne and Sprig as they take the lead, after which Sprig comments "Well that didn't feel balanced." This is a blatant reference to the powerful Blue Shell item from the Mario Kart series.

Nice that who I guess was NintendoOtaku was able to add to add information about Sprig said at the end of the clip, which I did not add at first due to not leaving a link to where it is stated that blue shell in the Mario Kart series felt balanced, nor did I add in the name of Anne and Sprig's opponent since the source did not mention it despite it being known. Appreciated either way on what NintendoOtaku seems to think of video game references in shows like Amphibia.
