According to Radical Entertainment game designer Darren Evenson, after Vivendi Universal declined to renew their video game license for The Simpsons (feeling as though it was too costly despite high sales), Radical Entertainment briefly considered creating a game in the style of The Simpsons: Hit & Run using the Family Guy license. However, this pitch was shot down by Vivendi Universal, who instead wanted them to work on the Crash Bandicoot and The Incredible Hulk IPs.
