King was primarily inspired and modeled after Jamaican singer, Grace Jones, from her appearance in the James Bond film A View to a Kill. King's final look doesn't resemble Jones, as she was deemed not "sexy" enough. Additional inspiration is from the henchwoman character in the Hong Kong film China White, performed by Dutch Muay Thai action actress Saskia Van Rijswijk.
