When talking to Turtle at the beginning of the level "Dry Landing", Alice will say "I'm not on holiday."

This line was originally meant to be "I'm no bloody tourist!". This unused line was recorded, and can be found in the game's files.
Donkey Kong Country

According to Donkey Kong Country director Gregg Mayles in a discussion with Jirard Khalil (a.k.a. The Completionist), Cranky's infamous line "I did this using one life! And I took less than an hour!" during the credits was the last remnant of a scrapped mode where the player would be able to play as Cranky Kong, who would be much slower and in general perform poorly in comparison to Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong.

According to producer Yoshiaki Kazumi, in an interview with Polygon, the reason why Pauline made a comeback in this game was because they wanted to give players something familiar to focus on in a strange place.

“When we were deciding which Kingdoms to have in the game, we knew we wanted the city environment, and we wanted something that would have resonance with players. We knew that players know Pauline so we of course wanted to make her the mayor of New Donk City. It's important to note that though they are called Kingdoms, they do not necessarily have royalty, and that's why she's the mayor.”

"In the past we used to have a game taking place in a city, and Mario also appeared in it(which pointed towards Pauline). At first they wanted to make her the princess of New Donk City, but the world setting of that city doesn’t have princesses. That’s why she became the mayor instead.”

The sound clip originates from his video Dunkey's Best of 2016, which Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was featured in.
