Star Fox: Assault
1
Attachment The characters in the briefing room scenes in the Japanese version of Star Fox Assault are noticeably far more emotive than they are in the western version, which removed the facial expressions from the characters during these particular scenes. The reason for the removal is likely due to having the character's movements re-synced to their English dubbed voices.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2
1
In Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, Azula is voiced by Suzie Young instead of her original voice actress, Grey DeLisle - despite this, DeLisle returned to voice Frida Suárez in the same game.

Attachment The antagonist of the original Yakuza was voiced by Kazuhiro Nakaya, who later went on to voice Ichiban Kasuga, the protagonist of Yakuza: Like A Dragon. The two characters also have the same koi tattoo, leading fans to speculate on the parallels between both characters, but aside from their voice actors and tattoos, there are only surface-level parallels.

Disney's Tigger's Honey Hunt
1
In 2002, the PlayStation version of Tigger's Honey Hunt was rereleased under a new US publisher, Take-Two Interactive. However, the only difference is that the game's voice acting was removed, making it match its Nintendo 64 version which originally released without voice acting.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
2
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is the first game in the "Batman: Arkham" series to not feature Batman as the main protagonist, though he does still appear in the game. At The Game Awards 2022, a trailer for the game was released which ended with a brief tribute to longtime Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, who passed away on November 10, 2022. Host Geoff Keighley then confirmed that Conroy would be voicing Batman "one final time" in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League; this game being Conroy's final performance as Batman was a major promotional point in online articles. However, on January 30, 2024, days prior to the game's release, IGN reported that there were two additional projects he recorded lines for as Batman prior to his death that would be released posthumously. While one of those projects, "Batman: Caped Crusader", ultimately did not feature Conroy, the other reported project, "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 3", was later confirmed to be Conroy's actual final performance as Batman, making his purported last performance in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League false advertising.

This game marks the final appearance of Pat Carroll as the voice of Ursula from "The Little Mermaid" (excluding the "Once Upon A Studio" short which used archived audio), as well as her final role in general, as she passed away on July 30, 2022.

In the Japanese dub of the game, during the December 4th visit to the hospital to question Taro Namatame, he says the line: Spoiler:"Then… little by little, the image came into sharper focus." After the end of this line, you can very faintly hear a click followed by what sounds like the rustling of paper. This audio appears to be Namatame's voice actor Yasuhiro Roppongi turning the pages of his script after finishing his line read, and was accidentally left in the final game.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
1
Attachment One of Ren's voice lines on Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, used for his and Stimpy's grounded down strong attack where he slams down Stimpy as if he were a hammer, is a reference to the streamer CONEY, who in his post-launch NASB gameplay referred to the move as "the STEEEEEEEEEEEMPY", with Ren's second original series voice actor Billy West replicating the cadence of CONEY's scream.

Star Fox 64
subdirectory_arrow_right Star Fox 64 3D (Game)
2
Attachment One of the more enigmatic characters in Star Fox 64 is the tanuki or raccoon dog that only appears in its training mode. On the official Japanese Star Fox 64 website, Slippy reveals that his name is ヤル・デ・ポン (Yaru De Pon), and that he is the president of Space Dynamics, the manufacturers of the Arwing and other vehicles the Star Fox team utilizes in their missions.

His surname seems to reference the du Pont family (ポン spells both "Pon" and "Pont"), a wealthy American family who made their fortune selling gunpowder, and later chemicals and motor vehicles. A popular rumor is that Henry A. du Pont secretly sold gunpowder to the Confederacy during the Civil War; fittingly enough, Slippy implies that Yaru de Pon is involved in "shady weapon deals", suggesting that he might be supplying Andross' forces as well.

Yaru de Pon is also notably the only character in the original Star Fox 64 to not have any voice acting. This was addressed in its 3DS remake, Star Fox 64 3D, where he is now properly voiced by Jay Ward (who also voices Wolf O'Donnell in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as well as the Nintendo Switch version of Starlink: Battle for Atlas) in the English version, and Kunpei Sakamoto in the Japanese version.

Beard Burger Master voice actor Ethan Eubanks has claimed that the non-rhythmic quips that Beard Burger Master says between lines in his song were not part of the script, and instead improvised. The line "My buns are very toasty" was intended as a mild innuendo, of which Eubanks is not sure if the developers of the game caught on to.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2
1
Attachment The role of Harry Osborn, voiced by Scott Porter in Marvel's Spider-Man, was recast in the game's sequel, with Graham Phillips now voicing the character. In a now-deleted tweet, Porter revealed that the reason he was recast was due to Insomniac's decision to go "photo real" with the character's graphics in the sequel, which left him out of the role due to the drastic age gap between the actor and the character.

The decision to go "photo real" was likely for the same reasons that Insomniac changed Peter Parker's face for the remastered version of the first game in 2020, and later games. The team gave a brand new face for Peter Parker, apparently in order to "bring the best performances to players," Insomniac said at the time.

Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind

Before settling on the artificially-sped-up voice that Bubsy would get in the final game, other accents in consideration for Bubsy were a Brooklyn accent and a Yiddish accent.

Bubsy's catchphrase, "what could possibly go wrong?", originated as a self-deprecating catchphrase from the Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind development team when the game ran into issues. Another phrase in consideration was "Whatever blows your hair back!", which Bubsy would say in the opening to Chapter 4: Fair Conditioning in the final game.

Left 4 Dead
1
Attachment Out of the 4 main survivors, Zoey was the only one to change voice actors, changing from Alésia Glidewell to Jen Taylor. Despite this, almost all of the pain and death sounds you hear in the game are actually lines leftover from Alésia and not Jen. It's unknown if this was intentional as she is not credited in Left 4 Dead.
Star Fox Adventures
subdirectory_arrow_right Dinosaur Planet (Game), Star Fox: Assault (Game)
2
Outside of the SNES titles, Star Fox Adventures is the only Star Fox game on a home console to not feature any sort of Japanese voice acting, instead relying on Japanese subtitles for its localization in Japan. This is because Rare preferred to use their in-house staff for voicing characters in their games, rather than having to travel over to London to find professional voice actors.

Since Krystal and Tricky are the only new characters introduced in SFA to reappear in future games such as Star Fox Assault and the Super Smash Bros. series, they are the only Dinosaur Planet/Star Fox Adventures characters to ever have any Japanese voice work done for them, with Krystal being voiced by Teiya Ichiryusai and Tricky being voiced by Hirohiko Kakegawa. Ichiryusai would reprise her role as Krystal in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, with her voice clips being reused for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
