Wakeboarding Unleashed Featuring Shaun Murray

Rayman 2: The Great Escape

Attachment In the PlayStation version of the game, collecting at least 720 Lum will unlock a secret 2D level. It is believed that this is a remaining level from the cancelled 2D sequel planned for the original Rayman.
Yoshi's Cookie
1
Attachment In the Game Boy version of the game, it's possible to access a debug menu using Game Genie codes. The top of the debug menu reads "Hermetica Debug Mode", suggesting that the title was originally to be called Hermetica, having no affiliation to the Mario series.
Donkey Kong Circus
1
Attachment The Game & Watch title Donkey Kong Circus, released 3 years after the original Donkey Kong, may be set as a prequel to the original Donkey Kong. It is said that it was Mario who unwittingly started the conflict by mistreating his pet, and the scene depicted in Donkey Kong Circus may be an example of this mistreatment, if Mario is taming him to perform rather than being a mere audience member. However, the relationship between the two in this instance seems to be good-natured.
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
1
Attachment For a long time it was rumoured that Atari buried its inventory of unsold E.T. cartridges in the New Mexico desert. More than 30 years later, the E.T. cartridges were found, along with other buried games and even Atari consoles themselves.
Rayman Legends
1
Attachment A leaked trailer for Rayman Legends suggested that it would feature special Near-Field Communication functionality on the Wii U, allowing new gameplay opportunities by placing certain objects on the controller. Ubisoft later confirmed that this trailer was merely demonstrative and consisted of prototype material intended only for their internal production teams, and did not represent what features the final game would have.

A megalodon was rumored to be hidden somewhere on the multiplayer map "Paracel Storm", but players were never able to find it.

An Easter egg was later added in the "Naval Strike" DLC, where players can summon a megalodon by gathering 10 players around a particular bouy on the "Nansha Strike" map.
Mario Kart Wii
1
Attachment A graphic of the American flag can be found in the game's files. This could suggest that there was originally going to be a language selection screen.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
1
Attachment An unused camo called "Massacre" can be found in the game's files. It looks similar to the red camo from Call of Duty: Black Ops, but it's darker.
Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock
1
Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock was originally intended to be part of a trilogy, however the sequels were later canceled. It's speculated that they were shelved due to the bugs present in the game at launch, and it receiving average review scores. The BBC has said that a sequel could still be made in the future, but did not have anything planned at the time.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
1
Though the Excess Express Engineer's name is not known for sure, his autograph seems to read "Carl".
1

Kirby Air Ride

The game's debug menu looks almost exactly like the debug menu for Super Smash Bros. Melee. Both games were developed by HAL Laboratory.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
1
The main menu theme sounds strikingly similar to the first part of the opening segment of the Super Nintendo RPG Terranigma, which was published by Nintendo in Europe. The composer for Melee may have taken inspiration from it.
DmC: Devil May Cry

Attachment Dante's character redesign shares resemblances with the director of the game, Tameem Antoniades. Tameem stated in an interview that he did not intend for Dante to look like him, as he explained that Dante is "a decade and a half younger than me, way better looking... The only thing he's got is black hair. And he's male. I didn't design the character. I didn't go to our designers and say, 'I think it's a really good idea if we make the new Dante look like me, because I want to be in the game.' They'd laugh at me. They'd throw me out the window."
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
1
Attachment It's thought that the four characters playable in the multi player and story mode games are based on four of the main Sonic the Hedgehog characters - Billy is Sonic, Chick Poacher is Tails, Bantam Scrambled is Knuckles and Rolly Roll is Amy. The Hatcher characters use similar colors and copy poses as well. For example, on the game's box art, Billy is in the same pose as Sonic from official Sonic Adventure 2 artwork.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
1
Attachment If the player has the bow and the bomb equipped, and presses both the bow and bomb buttons at the same time, Link will shoot the arrow with a bomb attached. Bomb arrows in this game are thought by some to be a glitch; however, this has never been confirmed nor denied by the developers.

An infinite life GameShark code increase the player's life melon count to 4, though the most you can have normally is 3. Even after disabling the code, your melon count will stay at 4. It's thought that Rare planned to implement an additional melon upgrade at Candy's shop. Alternatively, it's also possible that two melons were planned to be used at the beginning of the game instead of one.
