Attachment In earlier builds of the game, the player was scored by both the amount of Fire Flyers collected and the amount of property damage caused.
Deltarune
1
Attachment Within the data for Chapter 2 is an alternate, sped-up version of "Digital Roots" that lacks the ambient wind sounds. The existence of this track is a marked deviation from the rest of both Deltarune and Undertale, which otherwise speed up and slow down tracks in real time.

The filename for this unused variation is "spamton_house.ogg"; as "Digital Roots" itself uses the filename "spamton_basement.ogg", this seems to imply that the faster version was originally meant for Spamton's shop, which instead uses "Dialtone" (named Spoiler:"spamton_neo_after.ogg" in the game's files) in the final game.
Kingdom Hearts
1
Attachment In early concept art for the game, there is a world with a heavy Wild West aesthetic that is nowhere in the final release. It is unknown what Disney IP, if at all, that it would have been based on.
WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game
1
Midway’s executive director, Roger Sharpe, claimed that wrestler Adam Bomb (whose real name is Bryan Emmett Clark) is in the game. Sometime later, one of the game’s developers, Sal DeVita, confirmed this, but he remained unfinished.

Attachment When Lynx and Serge switch bodies with each other, Serge gets an updated portrait to reflect Lynx entering his body and becoming the evil boss Dark Serge. However, Lynx was originally planned to receive an updated portrait of his own when Serge enters Lynx's body and gains a more protagonistic personality, but this was scrapped in favor of Lynx's standard portrait. The miniaturized version of the unused portrait can still be seen on the equipment purchasing screen, but not in full.
Mario Party Superstars
1
In the E3 demo of the game, all the characters (minus Birdo) reuse their victory animations from Mario Party 10 (Birdo reuses its animation from Mario Party 9). In the final game, all characters received completely new ones.
Persona 5 Royal
1
On August 8th, 2020, an unused cutscene was discovered in the Chinese release of the game which was soon translated and uploaded to YouTube. The cutscene shows Goro Akechi Spoiler:in a rehabilitation center after the events of the game. This implies that he was able to escape from Shido's palace before his shadow self could kill him and turned himself into authorities.
Super Metroid
1
Attachment Through the use of cheat codes, an early AI for Shaktool can be accessed that moves considerably slower than in the final game, and also features an unused attack fired from its head that deals a small amount of damage.

Attachment Right after Samus acquires the Morphing Ball, two Eye security cameras in the first room of Brinstar turn on that are implied to alert the Space Pirates that Samus has arrived on Zebes. As Samus travels further into Brinstar, the rest of the planet "awakens" and becomes swarmed with enemies, causing the Eyes to disappear for the rest of the game. The Eyes shine a yellow light that tracks Samus around their immediate area when she is near them, and they shut when she walks far enough away. Once Samus searches back around into a corridor in Crateria's central rocky cave, a small Item room featuring a Chozo statue holding a Missile Tank can be found on the left side. This Item room can only be accessed using Bombs, and under normal circumstances, there is nothing of note about the statue.

However, should this room be entered early through hacking or the "Spacetime Beam" glitch that resets item and boss placements in the current save file, the room will be dark and the Chozo statue will have nothing in its hands. When Samus walks close enough to it, the statue will shine the same yellow tracking light to that of the two Eyes and the room will brighten, suggesting that there is an Eye hidden in the statue. This Eye appears to behave the same way as the other two and disappears for the rest of the game once the planet awakens. While the X-Ray Scope does not reveal anything underneath the statue, through the use of a glitch technique that replicates the effects of the Spacetime Beam while creating numerous graphical glitches (most notably in this case causing Chozo statues to become transparent), returning to the Item room will reveal the hidden third Eye. This Eye has some different properties compared to the other two, such as having a blue eyeball rather than red, and will turn around and close when Samus walks far enough away rather than just closing where it is.

This Eye is likely an earlier version of the Eye found in the final game that was originally intended to be found in normal play at the start of the game and eventually scrapped, but was left intact, possibly because all three Eyes eventually disappear anyway, and was not intended to be found by players.

subdirectory_arrow_right Rare Replay (Game)
1
GoldenEye 007 was originally planned to be included in Rare Replay, even going so far as having a "Rare Revealed" documentary video focused on the making of the game produced for it, but was scrapped due to licensing issues. This video would later be leaked online in 2019 by a former Rare employee, and the game would eventually be re-released separately in 2023, with previous owners of Rare Replay being gifted the game free of charge.

Batman: Arkham City
1
In an interview with Kotaku, Sefton Hill, game director at Rocksteady Studios, revealed that there was going to be a scene referencing the shark repellent from the 1966 film "Batman: The Movie" starring Adam West. At the part when Tiny the shark bites into Batman's raft, Batman would reach for a compartment on his Utility Belt labeled "shark repellent". Opening the compartment, Batman would pull out brass knuckles which he then uses to beat Tiny with.

"One of the ideas we originally had is the shark comes out and grabs the raft. And then Batman pulls out shark repellent and he opens it up, and inside the shark repellent was a massive knuckle duster. And he just smashes the shark on the nose. And then we thought: maybe the tone is going a bit wrong… then we thought we'd slip it in for New Game Plus. We decided not to."

However, a remnant of this idea is still on the final game. If the player loses against Tiny, one of the Game Over screens leaves the following hint: "Fight off the shark using Batman's powerful shark repellent: a flurry of furious strikes."
Marvel Super Heroes

Anita from the Darkstalkers series is a playable character exclusive to the Japanese version of the game. She was originally used only for testing purposes, but was soon added in the home console ports of the game. With the use of hacking tools, she can be playable in the U.S. version, although she lacks a name tag, quote, character portrait and ending, who instead borrows everything from Thanos.

In addition, Anita's moveset is glitchy and features other cameos such as Akuma from Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Mei Ling and Donovan from the Darkstalkers series. Most of her moves are direct knockoffs of Donovan's moves.
Super Bomberman 2

Attachment There are two Battle Stages that are hidden in the game. Both of these stages use the third Battle Theme, a track that can only be heard through normal play in Battle Stage 4. The official method of accessing these stages is to plug in a Hudson Super Joy Card controller, turn on the turbo-fire feature, and hold X for several seconds. On the other hand, both stages can be accessed using Pro Action Replay codes.
