Due to a translation error, the "Reploid Research Laboratory" was written as "Reploid Research Lavatory" in Mega Man Xtreme 2's opening cutscene. This error wasn't fixed in the 3DS Virtual Console release.

According to the developers of the game, Iris was given a larger role in this game as X and Zero's Navigator to make up for everything they put her though in Mega Man X4.
