In preview builds of Pac-Man World, H.M.S. Windbag was called "H.M.S. Hanky". The name was changed due to South Park starting around the game's development, and the developers of Pac-Man World wanting to avoid association with the character of Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure shares a title with a joke game mentioned in "Make Love, Not Warcraft", a 2006 episode of South Park. According to a Sanrio representative, this was merely a coincidence, although Sanrio did reference the name once before during an April Fool's blog post regarding the then-upcoming MMORPG Hello Kitty Online in 2008.

Attachment A South Park game for the Xbox was in development by Buzz Monkey Games (later Zynga Eugene), but was later canceled. The game was similar to The Simpsons: Hit & Run and Grand Theft Auto and had the main characters explore the town of South Park.

Attachment In the Ape Escape level Dark Ruins, there are four monkeys that are named Kyle, Stan, Kenny and Cratman, after the main characters of South Park. It's unknown why Cartman is misspelled as Cratman.
