Franchise: Ace Attorney
2
In the English dub of the Ace Attorney anime, the character Furio Tigre is voiced by Sam Riegel, the English voice of series protagonist Phoenix Wright starting with his appearance in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (with the exception of Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, where Phoenix was instead voiced by Trevor White). Based on a tweet from Kyle Phillips, the voice director for the dub, this appears to be intentional, as the case Tigre was involved in, "Recipe for Turnabout", involved him Spoiler:posing as Phoenix in a plot to frame Maggey Byrde for murder.

Garfield's Mad About Cats
2
Garfield's Mad About Cats is believed to feature the last non-advertising performance by original voice actor Lorenzo Music as Garfield. The final performance by Music as Garfield before his death in 2001 would be in a PSA promoting the Cub Scouts after the game's release in 2000.

Some of the death sound effects for the characters are taken from the first two episodes of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Both Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul get their death sounds from "Episode I: The Phantom Menace" when they are pierced by each other's respective lightsabers. Jar-Jar has two death sounds that come from scenes in The Phantom Menace where he gets frightened by a Colo Claw Fish and failing to balance some cans in Watto's Junkshop.

As for "Episode II: Attack of the Clones", C-3PO also has two death sounds; one from when he is excited to be reunited with Anakin and Padme, and the other comes from when he's lost in the Geonosis droid factory. Geonosians also get their death sound from a scene in the droid factory (and oddly enough, so does Watto despite being Toydarian). Obi-Wan's death sound originates from when he's struck by lasers from the Slave I during his duel with Jango Fett. Jango also gets his death sound from the same duel when he gets kicked by Obi-Wan off of a platform. Anakin and Padme both get their death sounds from the Geonosis arena scene; Anakin's is from when he gets dragged by the Reek and Padme's is a high-pitched version of her getting injured by the Nexu. Finally, Yoda's death sound comes from the beginning of his duel with Count Dooku.

The Finals
2
The Finals has been criticized for using an A.I. text-to-speech program created by ElevenLabs to artificially generate the character's voices, rather than using traditional voice actors. In response, developer Embark Studios claimed that the generated voicework is based on a mix of professional voice actors and temporary voices from Embark employees.

Crazy Kong
2
Attachment Crazy Kong's sound effects were plagarised from Crazy Climber, another game about scaling a building that featured gorillas as enemies, and predated Donkey Kong

If one is to count Crazy Kong as an official Nintendo release, it would technically be the first instance of Mario speaking, predating Donkey Kong Goes Home by two years, as he says "Hi-yah!" whenever he jumps over a barrel, using a slowed-down voice clip from the Crazy Climber gorilla.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2
2
One of Garfield's voice lines in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is "I'm sorry, Jon", a reference to an internet meme known as "Gorefield", where Garfield becomes an eldritch monster, and usually utters some variation of the line after or during his rampage.

Ico
2
Attachment In the area beside The Watermill, there is a tree with a small low-poly representation of a Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle attached to it. This pairs well with a bit of cut content recently found within the game's code for the same area, where Ico could have gained a secret weapon that took the form of an Insect Net.

How these two elements could have come together remains unknown, but it was likely part of a reference to Ico's voice actor, Kazuhiro Shindō, and his prior role as 'Boku' in the first installment of the Boku no Natsuyasumi series.

Boku no Natsuyasumi had an extensive bug-catching and beetle fighting system. These features reappearing in ICO were potentially meant to be an elaborate reference, playing on the idea that Kazuhiro Shindō is once again voicing a young boy, who might refer to himself with the first-person pronoun 'boku', if he were to speak Japanese.

Bob the Builder: Can We Fix It?
2
Inside the files of the Windows version of Bob the Builder: Can We Fix It?, there are 3 unusual unused sound clips

•The Windows 95 startup sound
•A clip of the line "Greetings, Professor Falken" from WarGames
•An otherwise-innocuous unused take of Wendy calling Pilchard for dinner with the filename "Torture".
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
2
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is the first game in the "Batman: Arkham" series to not feature Batman as the main protagonist, though he does still appear in the game. At The Game Awards 2022, a trailer for the game was released which ended with a brief tribute to longtime Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, who passed away on November 10, 2022. Host Geoff Keighley then confirmed that Conroy would be voicing Batman "one final time" in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League; this game being Conroy's final performance as Batman was a major promotional point in online articles. However, on January 30, 2024, days prior to the game's release, IGN reported that there were two additional projects he recorded lines for as Batman prior to his death that would be released posthumously. While one of those projects, "Batman: Caped Crusader", ultimately did not feature Conroy, the other reported project, "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 3", was later confirmed to be Conroy's actual final performance as Batman, making his purported last performance in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League false advertising.

Star Fox 64
subdirectory_arrow_right Star Fox 64 3D (Game)
2
Attachment One of the more enigmatic characters in Star Fox 64 is the tanuki or raccoon dog that only appears in its training mode. On the official Japanese Star Fox 64 website, Slippy reveals that his name is ヤル・デ・ポン (Yaru De Pon), and that he is the president of Space Dynamics, the manufacturers of the Arwing and other vehicles the Star Fox team utilizes in their missions.

His surname seems to reference the du Pont family (ポン spells both "Pon" and "Pont"), a wealthy American family who made their fortune selling gunpowder, and later chemicals and motor vehicles. A popular rumor is that Henry A. du Pont secretly sold gunpowder to the Confederacy during the Civil War; fittingly enough, Slippy implies that Yaru de Pon is involved in "shady weapon deals", suggesting that he might be supplying Andross' forces as well.

Yaru de Pon is also notably the only character in the original Star Fox 64 to not have any voice acting. This was addressed in its 3DS remake, Star Fox 64 3D, where he is now properly voiced by Jay Ward (who also voices Wolf O'Donnell in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as well as the Nintendo Switch version of Starlink: Battle for Atlas) in the English version, and Kunpei Sakamoto in the Japanese version.

PaRappa the Rapper 2
2
Beard Burger Master voice actor Ethan Eubanks has claimed that the non-rhythmic quips that Beard Burger Master says between lines in his song were not part of the script, and instead improvised. The line "My buns are very toasty" was intended as a mild innuendo, of which Eubanks is not sure if the developers of the game caught on to.
Star Fox Adventures
subdirectory_arrow_right Star Fox: Assault (Game), Dinosaur Planet (Game)
2
Outside of the SNES titles, Star Fox Adventures is the only Star Fox game on a home console to not feature any sort of Japanese voice acting, instead relying on Japanese subtitles for its localization in Japan. This is because Rare preferred to use their in-house staff for voicing characters in their games, rather than having to travel over to London to find professional voice actors.

Since Krystal and Tricky are the only new characters introduced in SFA to reappear in future games such as Star Fox Assault and the Super Smash Bros. series, they are the only Dinosaur Planet/Star Fox Adventures characters to ever have any Japanese voice work done for them, with Krystal being voiced by Teiya Ichiryusai and Tricky being voiced by Hirohiko Kakegawa. Ichiryusai would reprise her role as Krystal in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, with her voice clips being reused for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
