In 2013, a Kingdom Hearts online mobile game was in development that never saw the light of day. It was to be called "Kingdom Hearts: Fragmented Keys". The game was rumored to feature customizable avatar characters (like Union Cross). It would also have been in 3D instead of Union cross' 2D art style. Most interesting and exciting of all though (gathered from concept art no less) was the Disney world list as the game would feature returning worlds like: Agrabah, Wonderland, a Lilo & Stitch Hawaii world, Space Paranoids/The Grid, London/Neverland, and Dwarf Woodlands. It also included worlds that didn't appear in the series yet but would appear in later games like Union Cross and Kingdom Hearts III, such as: Arendell (Frozen), Kingdom of Corona (Tangled), and Niceland/Game Central Station (Wreck-It Ralph). Finally, and most shockingly, a world based on the Star Wars franchise, although this world's chronology is unknown as concept art show different conflicting eras, such as an image of characters Anakin, Obi-wan, Padme, and Master Yoda in their exact looks from Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie and series in a separatist gunship's hanger as well as a planet that looks similar to Tatooine and an anachronistic Death Star power station room. It is unknown why this game was cancelled.
If one moves Hank's Microsoft Agent actor file into the the main Microsoft Bob application, he can be used as a main Bob assistant, complete with his own character bio, suggesting that he was meant to be part of the wider Microsoft Bob program. Some of his text is generic placeholders and he does not have a background (instead using a close-up of what appears to be his knee or elbow).
Pregnancy was supposed to be a condition in Theme Hospital. It is somewhat finished and can be restored with modding, but lacks graphics and is referred to as a "disease".
In the Game Boy Advance version of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, there is an unused minigame that is just a clone of Tapper, with Pumpkin Juice in place of beer.

All of the songs in Animorphs for the Game Boy Color have an internal title. While most of these are descriptive of either the song or its context, some are vulgar in nature and one even includes a slur - those being SHATURATOR, SHITSACK, and FAGGAGS.
Additionally, WORLD1 refers to the jingle at the start of a mission instead of a world 1 theme, and INTROA is one of the battle songs instead of an intro theme.
According to Raww Le Klueze, global admin of the Suikosource forums, there is a hidden marriage proposal spoken by The Castle Keeper zombie in Neclord's castle that can be found in the game's files in ve3.bin and ve6.bin. There is no known way to access it in-game. Translated to English, it reads:
"Kazuko I really love Kazuko Even after 10 years Even after 20 years Even after 50 years I will always, always love her. ......... Teeheehee! Thank you for always being there. And for always supporting me! PS Let's get married! Mwah!"
It's unknown who Kazuko is or who wrote this proposal. This text is only believed to be present in the Japanese version of the game, with the North American version replacing it with a repeat of some past dialogue with the zombie before ending with the "Mwah!" replaced with a single "Yuk.".
Sonic Origins contains leftover data from the then-unreleased Sonic Frontiers. This is how it was first discovered that Big the Cat and his fishing minigame would return in Frontiers.
There are four unused cheat codes in Plok! that were disabled, each of which spells a word with the inputs of the SNES controller, and displays a message on screen. These were disabled, and therefore cannot be used under normal means:
• Right - Up - B - B - A - Down - Up - X (Rubber Ducks) - Displays "NINTENDO POWER" and warps the player to the Test Level • Y - A - B - A - Down - A - B - A (Yaba Daba) - Displays "JOHN'S CHEAT" and gives the player 16 Buddy Hornets • B - Right - Up - X - Y - A - Left - Left (Brux Y'all) - Displays "LYNDON'S CHEAT" and gives the player 160 shells • Up - Right - B - A - Down - Left - A - Down (You're Bad, Lad) - Displays "BAD INFLUENCE!" and makes the player invincible for 13 seconds
Nintendo Power and Bad Influence are both the names of 90s-era gaming publications, meaning that there may have been an intent to share the codes through those platforms.
"John" is likely referring to Plok! co-creator John Pickford, while "Lyndon" and his code "Brux Y'all" refers to game designer and sprite artist Lyndon Brooke.
Plok! did not feature any rubber ducks, however, a later Pickford Bros. game, Wetrix, would, and the eventual Plok! the Exploding Man comic would feature the rubber duck from Wetrix as a main protagonist.

Many of the internal object names in Crash Bandicoot: Warped, particularly those of the lab assistants, are profane in nature, such as:
• obj_asshole (the lab assistant who hides in a hole in the Chinese levels) • obj_stonedass (the lab assistant who lifts bricks in the Chinese levels) • obj_willy#you_fuck (Crash's biker outfit model) • obj_box_spring_iron#mother_fucker (A specific Iron Bounce Crate on Hang'em High) • obj_block#mother and obj_block#fucker (sliding blocks on the oil floor in Sphynxinator)
Inside the code for the SNES version of Daze Before Christmas are a set of mostly Christmas-related quotes and messages:
Any dramatic game the producers want us to take seriously as a representation of contemporary reality cannot be taken seriously as a representation of anything -- except a game to be ignored by anyone capable of sitting upright in a chair and chewing gum simultaneously. -- Richard Schickel (slightly modified)
... Now you're ready for the actual shopping. Your goal should be to get it over with as quickly as possible, because the longer you stay in the mall, the longer your children will have to listen to holiday songs on the mall public-address system, and many of these songs can damage children emotionally. For example: "Frosty the Snowman" is about a snowman who befriends some children, plays with them until they learn to love him, then melts. And "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" is about a young reindeer who, because of a physical deformity, is treated as an outcast by the other reindeer. Then along comes good, old Santa. Does he ignore the deformity? Does he look past Rudolph's nose and respect Rudolph for the sensitive reindeer he is underneath? No. Santa asks Rudolph to guide his sleigh, as if Rudolph were nothing more than some kind of headlight with legs and a tail. So unless you want your children exposed to this kind of insensitivity, you should shop quickly. -- Dave Barry, "Christmas Shopping: A Survivor's Guide"
I stopped believing in Santa Claus when I was six. Mother took me to see him in a department store and he asked for my autograph. -- Shirley Temple
An idea for Elephant Mario once involved inflating a Koopa Troopa shell thus allowing Mario and friends to carry it around with them. The idea got shot down after developers had trouble knowing what to do with them. A remnant of the idea still exists in-game, allowing Elephant Mario to carry large objects that are already on the stage.
The arcade version of Rise of the Robots contains code from an unreleased arcade version of Zool. However, this is only a file directory and as such unfortunately cannot be reverse-engineered into a playable state.
The SNES versions of Beethoven: The Ultimate Canine Caper! and Tom & Jerry both contain a dummy text file from the SNES version of The Hunt for Red October.
IN NOVEMBER OF 1984, SHORTLY BEFORE GORBACHEV CAME TO POWER, A TYPHOON- CLASS SOVIET SUB SURFACED JUST SOUTH OF THE GRAND BANKS. IT THEN SANK IN DEEP WATER, APPARENTLY SUFFERING A RADIATION PROBLEM. UNCONFIRMED REPORTS INDICATED SOME OF THE CREW WERE RESCUED. BUT ACCORDING TO REPEATED STATEMENTS BY BOTH SOVIET AND AMERICAN GOVERNMENTS, NOTHING OF WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE... ...EVER HAPPENED.
When SpongeBob is on-stage in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, he automatically activates a code titled "yummerSummon" - this does absolutely nothing, and serves as a comical reference to an infamous unused graphic in SpongeBob Saves the Day! for dataminers to discover. The Yummer graphic is not known to exist in All-Star Brawl.
In an interview with competitive Super Smash Bros. player Hungrybox, the developers of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl claimed that the game would feature cross-play in a future update. Cross-play was eventually finished for the game, but was not able to be released due to Nintendo's strict guidelines on cross-play. On March 3, 2023, the game was released on the Epic Games Store, and cross-play between PC and Switch was accidentally added without announcement, but was removed shortly after, though cross-play between Epic Games and Steam players would continue to exist in the game. Cross-play would eventually be included in the base game of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 for all consoles and generations.
Courage the Cowardly Dog: Creep TV has secret codes and maps that went undiscovered until 20 years after its release due to a glitch making them inaccessible. The codes include the "daScore" code, which shows a counter of how many ghosts you've zapped, and the "mirage" code, which expands the game map infinitely and allows access to the secret maps. On one of these maps, you can acquire a pair of glasses as an unused item, and another map containing an oasis in the Middle of Nowhere that also has a sign simply reading Eustace's catchphrase, "STUPID DOG!". However, if you use the glasses to read the sign, it will instead say "Wee...amazing! You found it! GOOD DOG!"
Q*Bert was originally able to shoot projectiles out of his nose, but this was scrapped in the final game. Co-creator Jeff Lee has said that, while he's unsure if this change enhanced the gameplay or not, he likes how the lack of offensive capabilities gives the character the personality of a "sympathetic plucky noser" who survives "by his wits and dexterity", particularly with the hindsight of how violent video games would become in the decades since.
The ZX Spectrum version of Sqij was made using Ocean Software's Laser BASIC coding software, and contains significant chunks of the library in its code, which could be easily reverse engineered, allowing one access to the suite of Laser BASIC tools for the £1.99 price of Sqij as opposed to the £14.95 asking price of Laser BASIC.
An unused exit screen with the label "underconstruction_exit" exists within the game files. When activated in-game, the level will abruptly end and transition to the boss variation of the level's stage.
