Super Mario 64 DS

Each boss in the game has a specific piece of dialogue based on who you're fighting them as. Even though Yoshi can't actually fight Chief Chilly, there is still dialogue programmed in for that fight.
Metal Slug

Attachment There are several animations of the players shooting and throwing things in several directions while facing the alternate direction. It appears that players may have been able to shoot and throw grenades behind them without turning around. Some of the animations can actually be seen in the game. This can be done by releasing your parachute and shooting left.
Minecraft

Attachment The Leather chain armor is a sprite from Indev (an older test version of Minecraft's Survival mode) 0.31's items.png armor. It never made it to the release versions.
Pokémon Crystal Version
1
Attachment Even though Pokémon Crystal is incompatible with the Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Light, Super Game Boy and Super Game Boy 2, there is an unused Super Game Boy border programmed into the game. This can be seen by setting a flag in the game's RAM to enable the Super Game Boy features. Cheating devices such as the Game Genie can also be used to achieve the same effect temporarily. The border is a leftover from the Japanese version of Pokémon Gold; the design is the same and the text reads Pocket Monsters Gold Version, rather than the English version's title of "Pokémon Gold".

When the player attempts to play the game on a model of the Game Boy prior to the Game Boy Color, the error message "This Game Pak is designed only for use on the Game Boy Color." is output by the game, with the word Crystal spelled out using Unown. There is an unused color palette associated with this message, using an orange tint, which appears when triggering the unused Super Game Boy border.
Metal Slug 5
1
Attachment In an unused debug level, you can find an assist character named Acchiles. He was left out due to Metal Slug 5 being rushed. In one of Metal Slug 5's flyers, he is seen along with an unknown character.
Metroid Prime

Attachment Kraid was intended to return as a boss, but was scrapped due to time constraints. Kraid's character model was completely finished, but the there wasn't enough time left to create a fully polished boss fight.

"It was decided that Kraid was not imperative enough to the Metroid Prime project to run the risk of pushing up the release date in order to fit him in." -Gene Kohler
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Attachment The Pokemon Trainer has an unused jumping animation. Some fans have speculated he may have been playable on his own, but it seems more likely that this jumping was planned to help him traverse large areas like The Subspace Emissary.
Viewtiful Joe 2
1
In early trailers, a multiplayer mode was shown off. One player would play as Joe while the other player would play as Silvia. However, sometime during development, the mode was dropped.
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Attachment In the game's data are unused graphics of weapons and icons. These are all from the series's fifth entry, Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. The reason these are in the data is unknown, as they are never used in the game and would have no reason to be used.
Pokémon Black Version 2

In the files for the Pokemon World Tournament, there are two complete text strings for Hilbert and Hilda, the player characters of Black and White. This suggests that they were originally going to be present in an unidentified tournament, and they were also going to speak in full sentences, unlike Red who just speaks in ellipses. Their names are set as Hilbert and Hilda, unlike the Memory Link referencing your past character.
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
1
Attachment Prerelease screenshots hint that King DeDeDe, Adeleine, and Waddle Dee were playable at one point during development.
Crash Team Racing

Ripper Roo was originally going to speak fluent English. This was dropped for unknown reasons and was replaced with his manic laughter along with subtitles. The original recordings can still be found hidden within the game's code.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords
1
Attachment Due to LucasArts rushing the game's development to release it on time for the holidays, a large number of content and story was either cut or unfinished with numerous bugs remaining in the game. M4-78, a planet inhabited by droids, was one of the worlds originally intended to be visitable by the player where they'd find one of the Jedi Masters and her apprentice.
Silent Hill HD Collection
1
While the player is given the option to toggle between the original and new voiceovers in Silent Hill 2 HD, the option for original voices in SH3 HD is nonexistent. This is because Heather's original voice actor could not be contacted in time before the game's release.
Tomba!
1
Attachment An unused video exists in the disc data, depicting an alternate Village of Civilization being cleansed of an Evil Pig's curse.
Duke Nukem Forever
1
Duke was originally going to have a sidekick in the form of a gay robot. This wasn't to make fun of gay people, but to add depth to Duke's character. The idea was scrapped during development because the robot had a tragic ending, and the developers felt that Duke was more about action than tragedy.

"'Sexuality is part of the Duke personality.' The head of Gearbox explained that the original idea behind the sidekick was 'to explore how Duke would relate to a peer that might have a different sexual orientation.'"

"Ultimately the robot was in a situation where for in order for victory against the aliens to be accomplished, the robot's inner workings - a nuclear generator - had to be sacrificed."

"Duke is all about having a good time. Do you want to pay $60 to feel like crap? No!"
Kingdom Hearts II
1
Attachment Through the use of a cheating device, 2 alternate versions of the Ultima Weapon can be found. These weapons are titled "Edge of Ultima" and "Detection Saber". In game they are given a glitched appearance and are only palette swaps of the original Ultima Weapon. They are also missing a menu picture, and instead a map is displayed.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
1
By looking through the game's disc you can find different victory fanfares signed for each character, there's even fanfares for both Mewtwo and Roy. But in the final game, Meta Knight is the only character with a unique fanfare.
Kirby's Return to Dream Land
1
Attachment There were originally going to be more Super Abilities. A Super Spark and Super Cutter were planned, but were cut for two reasons. The Super Spark data is completely overwritten with Ultra Sword files and the Super Cutter was cut due to it being to similar to Ultra Sword. The model and icon for the Super Cutter still remain on the game's disc.
Animal Crossing
1
Attachment An unused villager, fan-dubbed Blazel, can be found in the game's code. The villager's name is a series of glitched characters, and has characteristics similar to Bliss and Hazel. Talking to the villager a second time changes its name to Jambette, possibly due to memory errors. An odd quirk is that it's loaded in the memory with other non-villager NPCS.
