Alex Kidd in Miracle World

1
In the Japanese version of Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Alex eats a rice ball at the end of each stage. The 1990 US revision of the game changes this to a hamburger.

In Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX, a Spanish omelette and fish & chips are added as options, possibly in tribute to the Master System's popularity in Spain and the United Kingdom.

Attachment The "Flower Garden" mode of Minesweeper was created to be more sensitive towards users in countries, such as Italy, where landmines are a common cause of death rather than seen as a war movie trope. It was originally only available to Italian players, but became a customization option in 2007's remake of Minesweeper, with Flower Garden being the only option for Italian players. in 2012's Microsoft Minesweeper, the Flower Garden mode would also be the only aesthetic option on Siberian and Chinese players.

3D Pinball: Space Cadet
subdirectory_arrow_right PC (Microsoft Windows) (Platform)
1
At an unknown point after 3D Pinball: Space Cadet's removal from Windows hardware starting with Vista, there was an attempt within Microsoft Garage (Microsoft's program for experimental, non-profitable employee projects) to revive the game with compatibility for current Windows operating systems. While the port was finished, it could not be publicly released due to the 1994 contract with Cinematronics (now merged into THQ Nordic) stipulating that the game could not be released as an independent entity, only bundled with Windows hardware.

It was intended for international release, but due to the end of the SNES's lifespan in North America and Europe, it wasn't localized. The game would eventually see a North American and European release through Nintendo Switch Online in 2023.

There is a secret code in the Japanese version of the original game. Going into the menu screen and entering Down, Up, Right, Left, Select, Start, Select, Start, B, will cause Toad to appear on-screen and say:

"Secret code found!
Now, let's take a look at your Status.
......Wow!
Nothing's changed at all.
But, what about your experience points......
Nope, nothing's changed.
There's no point in looking for other codes,
and the result will always be the same.
I'll play with you as many times as you like, though......
Secret Code END"

This code would be included internationally for the first time in the game's 2023 remake.
