Rocko's Modern Life: Spunky's Dangerous Day
1
In the "Ice Scream" level of Rocko's Modern Life: Spunky's Dangerous Day, Earl the Dog can be found as an enemy in the Bigheads' house. The game was released a year before the airing of the Rocko's Modern Life episode "Frog's Best Friend", where Earl was adopted by Bev.

Adventure
1
There exists a rare situation in Adventure where, after being eaten by a dragon, the bat will pick up the dragon, and carry it around the game world with you inside its stomach. This was not an intentional Easter egg or gag, but rather a result of the dragons and bat in Adventure being coded to explore the game world at all times rather than despawning.

Adventure
1
Despite Adventure being a highly ambitious title released before the discovery of bank switching, the game had enough free RAM space in its cartridge (15 out of 128 bytes) to fit 3 extra dragons - though Warren Robinett chose not to as he thought the gameplay was fine as is, something he compared to what is now known as game balancing.

During the development of Adventure, Atari higher-ups were initially cautious of such an ambitious project - when they saw the prototype, they unsuccessfully tried to persuade Warren Robinett to rework the game into a tie-in game for the Superman II movie.
Adventure
2
Attachment Warren Robinett, creator of Adventure affectionately refers to Yorgle, Grundle, and Rhindle, the 3 dragons, as "Duck Dragons", and has stated that if he were to do an official follow-up to Adventure, the dragons would still resemble ducks instead of being redesigned to more closely resemble their intended species.
Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling

In the early builds of Bug Fables, the protagonists Vi, Kabbu, and Lief were originally referred to simply as Bee, Beetle, and Moth.

Attachment Before his career took off as an indie developer, Toby Fox used to play Super Smash Bros. Melee competitively under the old username 'Radiation'.

He is currently the only known competitive Super Smash Bros. player to have a character he has created represented in the series. Alongside the release of Banjo & Kazooie as a fighter, a Mii costume based on Sans from his game Undertale as well as an original remix of the song "Megalovania" were both added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on September 4th.

There's not much info about Toby Fox playing competitive Melee as he doesn't talk about it publicly too often, the VoD provided is the only publicly-known footage of him playing a set to my knowledge:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nzh3NUO4szE

According to people, he was known as a bit of a local celebrity due to his work on the webcomic Homestuck, though that is more hear-say than anything definitive.
Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen
1
In a February 9, 2023 interview with the game's producer Yutaka Fukaya published on the Siliconera website, he was asked when he began working on the game for its worldwide release? He responded that although him and his team started working on the game around the start of 2022, they had the concept well before then.

Fukaya was also asked how difficult it was to get the new ports ready, if any of the ports were easier to create than the others, and what were the unexpected issues that came up during its development? He responded that while it wasn't significantly more difficult than previous titles, the fact that it was a port from the Wii, "a hardware system that is not like any other", was one of the points that required ingenuity. He also said that while it wasn't exactly a difficulty, the team devoted a lot of time, effort and resources to the game's visuals to raise the quality of the game.
Tak and the Power of Juju

A graphic designer named Eyad Arabi was commissioned to make several logo animations for THQ. One of these animations that didn’t make the cut involved a rhinoceros being scared by a bunch a flowers in the shape of the THQ logo.

This logo animation can be found on his portfolio YouTube page with the game’s title, suggesting it was intended for use for Tak and the Power of Juju.

Attachment In 2021, Mairusu claimed that his Five Nights at Freddy's fangame, Five Nights in Anime, would be part of the next wave of the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative, even having a "teaser" on the Scott Games website. However, he revealed the next day that this was just an April Fools joke.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
1
Attachment Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl does not feature characters from live-action Nickelodeon series. According to Ludosity CEO Joel Nyström, this was due to the developers being unable to envision movesets for live-action characters (i.e. "I'd assume they don't feature a giant, two-ton hammer suddenly produced from your back pocket") and that many of the series did not air in Sweden. When asked about live-action content in an interview, he stated

"There are no live-action characters in our base lineup, and we are currently not looking at any for future characters either. You never know, but for now, we are focusing on cartoon characters. It fits in with the rest of the roster better, and we feel like we can go a little wilder in the moveset with them."

Despite this, a developer from Ludosity has claimed that a live-action character was considered in the form of Alex Mack from The Secret World of Alex Mack, portrayed by Larisa Oleynik, but this was shot down by Nickelodeon.

Although not explicitly stated, it could also be assumed that live-action characters were off the table for likeness costs, given that All-Star Brawl was initially unable to afford character voices, and that actors involved in Nickelodeon sitcoms have been known to frequently get into extreme scandals that end their careers.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl does, however, feature a stage based on the game show Double Dare, and multiple aesthetic references to the iconic Nickelodeon slime which debuted in You Can't Do That on Television!

subdirectory_arrow_right Sega Pico (Platform)
2
Attachment The Sega Pico has a variety of different mascots depending on territory:

• In Japan, the Sega Pico had a set of two mascots, who were originally hand-drawn, but changed to a CGI style upon the hardware's rebranding to the "Kids Communication Pico". These characters would appear in the opening titles for every Japanese Pico release and are not known to have appeared in any commercials.

• In Western territories, the Sega Pico used a mascot known as "Smart Alex", originating from the game Smart Alex & Smart Alice: Curious Kids. Box arts for Pico games in regions such as the UK and France would feature Smart Alex regardless of if he actually appeared in the game, he appeared in animated commercials for the hardware, and he had a mascot costume made for the 1995 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Smart Alex is the only Pico mascot to have appeared in his own game.

• In Korea, where the hardware was distributed by Samsung, it used a star-shaped animal character. The character would continue to be used for the Samsung Thinko, a Pico successor made without Sega's involvement, independent of its Japanese follow-up, the Advanced Pico Beena.

A Vampyre Story 2: A Bat's Tale
subdirectory_arrow_right A Vampyre Story: Year One (Game)
1
A Vampyre Story 2: A Bat's Tale was intended to be released in either 2009 or 2010, but has been delayed indefinitely due to budgetary contentions between Autumn Moon and Crimson Cow. This lead to Bill Tiller conceiving a prequel game, which could not only give him a chance to continue working on the franchise independently, but also allowed him to fill in the backstory for the two main characters, Mona and Froderick.
Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc
1
Attachment In the original console releases and PC version of the game, the fourth section of the first world The Fairy Council has a fairy say in a cutscene, "Oh my god, what is going on here?" Then later, "Oh my god, its an unspeakable atrocity!" The phrase 'Oh my god' was removed in the HD remaster for PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360. Oddly enough, in the HD remaster, the minigame Crush maintains the phrase as a reactionary on-screen quote if players manage to score 10 consecutive hit combos.

Gin's "DeviousArt" account, "friskyGM", is a real DeviantArt account that was made prior to the game's launch. One of the game's developers, Tail-Blazer, commented on the profile around the time it was made, jokingly claiming that Gin "exudes experience". Another of the devs, Cavitees, is the sole DeviantArt account that friskyGM follows.

Attachment The NJS-3D1 was a PC flight stick made by Laral Group LLC - unusually, the flight stick bears the name and official quality seal of Nintendo on its packaging, along with a Nintendo 64 logo on the controller itself, despite not being compatible with any of Nintendo's hardware. The controller was made in a short-lived deal to manufacture PC accessories with Nintendo branding, with the only other product to come out of the line being a set of headphones.
