These ideas were not featured in the final game.

In the Japanese Saturn port of the game, it is possible to play as Pepsiman, the mascot for the Pepsi Company in Japan, by losing the first match in Arcade Mode. Then the player must defeat him to unlock him as a playable character.

In addition, the Pepsi brand can be seen advertised during the game's second attract mode with Tokio, on Picky's skateboard, and on both a truck and a billboard in Picky's Diner stage. However, they are not present in the US and PAL versions of the game as the Pepsi advertising was instead replaced with generic advertising.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
1
Attachment During the Assault on the castle in the game's Prologue, a dead body can be found near the large iron gates to the castle. The body is wearing a white, hooded cloak tied with red and brown garments and it appears that the cause of death was falling from a great height into a cart of hay. Geralt comments upon finding the corpse: "Hmm... Guess they'll never learn.", and then receives one point in the Assassination Attribute. This is a reference to the first Assassin's Creed game and its protagonist, Altaïr.
Creatures II: Torture Trouble
1
Attachment During the title screen's credits, an infinite lives cheat code involving pressing several impossible button combinations at once can instead be activated by wetting your finger and rubbing against the empty Control Port One on a Commodore 64 keyboard, tricking the game into thinking these combinations are being performed. A large sprite of Maximus Mouse (from the games Summer Camp and Winter Camp) will appear, replacing the giant sprite of Fuzzy that is normally in the background, waving his arms as you rub your finger across the port until he turns grey and the fountain of Fuzzy sprites that normally launches in the foreground instead launch flashing rainbow-colored Fuzzys, indicating the cheat has been activated.

Terrain of Magical Expertise

Attachment The character Vitaszeit is based on real-life actor, writer, producer and Did You Know Gaming? contributor Vitas Varnas. Vitas had wanted to voice the character but the game's creator Chris Niosi wouldn't allow him as he was instead voiced by Connor Colquhoun.
Skullgirls
1
Attachment Eliza's Story Mode text data commentary contains an ASCII picture based on fan art of Maya Amano from Persona 2. When questioned about it, programmer Jonathan Kim explained that many messages and pictures like that found in the game's code were the result of him venting off steam while working on the game, and that after the game had been datamined by fans, he was forced to remove the majority of those messages and pictures, with some exceptions like the Maya Amano fan art.

Monster Party
1
Attachment In the game's first level, one of the bosses that can be encountered is a giant dead lizard that does not need to be fought, as indicated by its sole message upon encountering it:

"SORRY, I'M DEAD."

While most of the monsters in the game are passing references to pre-existing monsters commonly found in popular culture, this monster is unique in that the same character design originally debuted in a 1988 Japanese toy model kit line called "Gegebo Majyu" (translated to English as "Pukey Evil Creature"), where it went under the name "Torigaran" (translated to English as "Chicken Carcass"). Gegebo Majyu was manufactured and sold by Bandai, who also published and released Monster Party exclusively in North America one year later in 1989.
Tak and the Power of Juju
1
Attachment Near the end of the Chicken Island West stage, there is a hidden cave on a cliff wall just above the ocean, specifically just near an outhouse, that can be most easily accessed by hovering down into it with the Chicken Suit. Inside the cave is a shrine with four torches, and in the center a portrait of an "Apedog" (a dog with a chimpanzee's head) with the caption "eatpoo" in lowercase lettering just below it. This is a tribute to a now-defunct online art forum called EATPOO, which one of Avalanche Software's developers frequented at the time, and of which Apedog was the mascot.

Um Jammer Lammy
1
Attachment In the opening cutscene to Stage 1, the excuse Lammy comes up with while running backstage is an exact description of the setup to the Stage 5 song "Full Tank" from PaRappa the Rapper, ending on a cameo by the teachers from that game and reusing voice clips of them saying "Let's rap for it!!" from Full Tank's opening cutscene:

Lammy: "What should I tell them?? I had a stomachache so I went to the bathroom......but there was a long line at the gas station......I told them it was an emergency......but they said: "LET'S RAP FOR IT!!!". ... Nahhh...."
