World of Warcraft

There are a number of references to the Star Trek series in the game;

• A Goblin Doctor known as "Doc" found in Area 52 will say "Damnit Boots, I'm a doctor not a priest!" after turning in the quest "That Little Extra Kick." This is in reference to Dr. McCoy from Star Trek :The Original Series.
• Also in Area 52 are several Goblin NPCs working on a rocket, all wearing Gold Shirts and Black pants, in reference to the Engineering crews of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Chief Engineer "Trep" is in reference to Chief Engineer Charles "Trip" Tucker from Star Trek: Enterprise. "Trep" also has a quest named "Report to Engineering" in which the player must deliver Etherlithium Matrix Crystals to him, referencing the Dilithium Matrix Crystals which regulates the anti-matter flow for the ships in the Star Trek series.
• In the Exodar Holographic Emitters, there are five NPCs by the names of Curzon, Tobin, Torias, Emony, and Audrid. All five of these are in reference to Dax's previous hosts from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
• The camp "Bash'ir Landing" may be another reference to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, namely to Julian Bashir the Chief Medical Officer of Deep Space Nine.
• Warden Treelos, a lone-surviving Druid near Cenarion Thicket will randomly yell "There are four lights!" This is a reference to Captain Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation, specifically from the two-part episode Chain of Command.
• In Gadgetzan, there is a Gnome Engineer wearing a gold shirt and black pants with the name "Jhordy Lapforge", in reference to Geordi La Forge from Star Trek:The Next Generation.
• Another gold-and-black Gnome Engineer can be found in Blade's Edge Mountains by the name of Smiles O'Byron, in reference to Chief Miles "Smiley" O'Brien from both Star Trek:The Next Generation and Star Trek:Deep Space Nine. The NPC even specializes in Transporters, much like the Star Trek equivalent did.
• In Stormwind City, there is an NPC by the name of Lenny "Fingers" McCoy, in reference to Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy from Star Trek:The Original Series.
• Nogg's Machine Shop found in Orgrimmar is named after the Engineer-savant Ferengi called Nogg, from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
• Two Goblins named Scooty and Sprock are in reference to Montgomery "Scotty" Scott and Spock both from Star Trek: The Original Series. Scooty in particular wears a white shirt and black vest, much like what Scotty wore in his later years.
Tales of Phantasia

In the PSX version of the game, Lilith Aileron, Stahn's sister from Tales of Destiny can be battled in the game's coliseum. When beaten, she gives the player the "S.D" weapon, AKA "Swordian Dymlos", Stahn's main weapon/talking sword from the same game.

This weapon also allows Cless to use the "Final Fury" arte as well.
Sleeping Dogs

In the ending of the Sleeping Dogs DLC, "Nightmare in North Point", Not Ping Spoiler:agrees to finish her date with Wei Shen. As they walk away from the cemetery, she looks at the player with flashing light blue eyes and the laughter of the antagonist, Smiley Cat, is heard. This is a nod to Michael Jackson's "Thriller", in which Michael takes his girlfriend home and then looks at the audience with his werewolf eyes along with the laughter of the song's scary narrator being heard in the background.
Mortal Kombat II

Attachment In the Genesis port of the game, Rayden has an exclusive finisher that can be activated through a cheat, called "Fergality." This turns his enemy into a smoking version of Fergus McGovern, CEO of Probe Ltd. who worked on the port of the game.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Attachment A dispatch mission called "Scarface" is posted by a Knight with the name Tingel, who wishes to keep a scar from a duel he started. This likely is a reference to the Tengille family from the previous Final Fantasy Tactics game, as all three of the Tengilles were Knights and were also known to use "Tingel" as a surname.

It may also be a reference to Squall Leonhart or Seifer Almasy from Final Fantasy VIII, who both got scars across their face after a duel with each other.
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest

Attachment Dracula's grave reads "1431-76." This is a reference to Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), a major inspiration for Bram Stoker's original Dracula character. Vlad Tepes was born in 1431 and died in 1476.

There are several Easter Eggs and references to Mirror's Edge. In Death Valley, a runner bag can be found in a container suspended by a crane on a skyscraper. The game's theme song can also be heard coming from a cell phone in the bag. In Markaz Monolith, Faith's shoes can be found on the edge of a skyscraper, with it possible to also hear her breathing after listening closely. In Operation Metro, there is a blue sign overhead saying "Faith Connors" and "Catherine", referencing Faith and her sister, Kate. There is also another runner bag hidden deeper in the area.

The Saw item 'OVE9000' may be a reference to the popular meme of "It's Over 9000!" from Dragon Ball Z. It could also be a reference to the "BFG9000" from Doom.
