Final Fantasy VII
1
There is a bit of unused dialogue found in the Final Fantasy VII game data that would have taken place outside the Shinra Headquarters, before the party head in for the first time, and in the elevator, if the player entered the building through the main entrance. Outside the building, Barret would suggest that Cloud knows the place well, to which Cloud would have answered it to be his first time there. Barret would then have said he has been at the headquarters before, back when he still had both his hands. The elevator scene is similar, with Cloud saying he's never been to the place before and asking if Barret is familiar with it, which would have prompted the same response from Barret. These bits were cut off the final game and nothing in the finished version suggests Barret would have ever visited the Shinra Headquarters before.
Metroid Fusion
1
Attachment When completing Normal Mode in the Japanese version, the player is given different ending images. These images (with the exception of the last) feature Samus without her suit and show her Chozo upbringing and parent's death. The artwork heavily adheres to the events depicted in the Metroid Manga, written by Kouji Tazawa and advised by Metroid director Yoshio Sakamoto.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Attachment There is a cut weapon found in the game files called the Brick Blaster which is visually a USP .45 but instead fires cinder blocks and has no ammo counter.

There are various weapons that were cut from the final game but can still be found in the game files, these include: FAMAS, M1014, MK12 SPR, MP5K, Vector, AUG, F2000, W1200, WA2000, STG44 G3, M93 Raffica, Remington 870, Lee-enfield, MG4, TAR-21 and Scar-H. All of these weapons (Besides the MK12 SPR) are from previous Call of Duty titles and were likely removed to make way for new weapons.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
1
Several sections of Tatooine were cut out due to time constraints. The Star Map was originally to be located in a Sarlacc pit instead of a Krayt Dragon's lair. Players would have to find the sarlacc in a cave complex and then enter it without getting eaten. Later the player could become a messiah of the Sandpeople and lead them to stand up against Czerka.
Super Paper Mario
1
Attachment In both of Francis' rooms where he keeps his keys, there are references to previous Paper Mario games. Bow the Boo and her butler, Bootler, are found on a poster along with Petuni, who also appears as a plushy with Punio, Vivian, the Yoshi Kid in all colors, Peach, various items, and Pennington. The left most room also contans a famicom/NES, a SNES, a Virtual Boy, a Nintendo 64, and a Gamecube.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game
1
Sigourney Weaver originally declined to reprise her role as Dana Barrett in the video game. When she heard that the original cast was going to return to act in the game, she wanted to be a part of the game. Unfortunately, the game was too far into production to put her back in, so she was left out.
Franchise: Final Fantasy
1
In America, the name Final Fantasy I is correct. When Final Fantasy II & III first came out, they were in fact FF IV & FF VI renamed II and III. For some strange reason they skipped FF II, FF III and FF V. It was only when FF VII came out that the series's naming was back in order.

Mother 3

Shogo Sakai was the only person in charge of all the music in Mother 3, which count up to being 250 songs. Itoi realized even before he started development that he couldn't just request an outside musician and wanted someone who would have a lot of time to work on the project.

Attachment In the original versions, the babes kidnapped by the aliens were woven into cocoons and tied up on pillars. Pressing the action button in front of them will make them moan "Kill me...", which is a reference to a similar scene in the Alien franchise. In the Nintendo 64 version, the babes were covered up more (as they were either naked or only had underwear on), and could not be killed (which is how you "saved" them before). The action button now makes the disappear and the message "Babe saved!" is shown.
Jeopardy!
1
Attachment In the category "Frosty Flicks", for the question "In a Disney cartoon, she falls under the evil spell of Queen Malificent", the incorrect answer has been programmed in. The answer should be "Sleeping Beauty", however the answer which the game wants is "Snow White".

Queen Malificent was the main villain in the Disney film adaptation of Sleeping Beauty where as in Snow White the villain was the Evil Queen, also known as Queen Grimhilde.

Larry Laffer, the series' main protagonist, was modeled after a salesman for Sierra Game, whom the developers hated, as he would return from sales trips and brag about how he got lucky with women.
