Advance Wars: Days of Ruin
1
The European and American versions have many differences regarding mission names, character names, chapter names and more. This is due to Nintendo of America and Europe both receiving Japanese versions of the games to translate independently.
Kirby Super Star
1
Attachment In the Japanese release there are weeds in the foreground of the "Samurai Kirby" mini game. They were removed in the international versions, possibly to make room for the translation text. The weeds were later revised in Kirby Super Star Ultra.
Kirby Super Star
1
Attachment After completing a round of Gourmet Race, the time on the very bottom of the screen will say "clear time" in the Japanese version. This was changed to just "time" in the International versions.

Due to fan feedback over how the game felt unfair because certain aspects of the game rely heavily on chance, the developer, ##Devolver Digital## patched the game with the "Mercy Update", that added Puzzle and Narrative modes, both of which remove the random aspects of the game.
Five Nights at Freddy's 2
1
Just like in the original Five Nights at Freddy's, there is a poster in the office that will make a squeak noise when clicking Freddy's nose. This does not work in the mobile versions of the game.

GoldenEye 007
1
Attachment The Japanese version curiously removes the hunting knife weapon, which in other versions is only available through the use of cheat codes. Instead, the Japanese version has a cheat code that gives Bond a paired rocket launcher and sniper rifle (with full ammo for each weapon). When using the two weapons together, the sniper rifle's adjustable scope can be used. Unlike the 2x weapon cheats, each weapon can also be used separately.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
1
The only virtual console game that doesn't appear within the masterpieces menu in the International release of the game is "Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light", as this title was never translated or released anywhere but in Japan.
Shikigami no Shiro
1
Despite being dubbed "Mobile Light Force 2" in the USA and Europe, the game is actually the first Castle Shikigami game, and bears no connection to the first Mobile Light Force. In this release all story content was cut, voices were dubbed into incomprehensible English and the "Shikigami" attacks were renamed "Mobile Light Force 2" attacks in the manual. Despite the naming of the first port the series continued with its original naming from Castle Shikigami 2 onwards.
Gunbird
1
Mobile Light Force is a butchered budget version of Gunbird released by XS Games in the US. This version removes the art gallery and most of the story. The translation is also of poor quality and some parts have been left completely untranslated.
Wario's Woods
1
Attachment The NTSC and PAL versions of the NES game have some music differences. Interestingly, the PAL version has a track for the ranking scores, while the NTSC version just reuses the main menu theme.
Star Fox 64
1
In the European version, there is an extra language called "Lylat", a made up language which is similar to the gibberish spoken in the original Star Fox.
Franchise: Naruto
1
Attachment Hinata Hyūga's original jutsu name is "Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms", but instead they named it "Protective Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms" in the anime English dub and "Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms Guard" in the video games.

Even though this jutsu only appeared in anime filler and Rock Lee and His Ninja Pals, it still continues to be (Part 1 & 2) Hinata's jutsu throughout the Naruto games.
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
1
Attachment Boshi's japanese name is Washi, which combined with his "bad boy" look and antagonistic nature, means that he is Yoshi's "warui" counterpart like Wario and Waluigi.

subdirectory_arrow_right Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe (Game)
1
Attachment When Kirby's Return to Dream Land was localized in Europe, the title name was changed to Kirby's Adventure Wii and has the same box art from the Japanese version, rather than the box art from the North American release. This name change was not carried over to the Nintendo Switch version and was released with the original Return to Dream Land name.
