In the demo version, a cutscene in Blackwater City shows Darla Gratch says she's reporting for "Channel 64 News", but her microphone has a 2 on it. In the official release version, her small dialogue was change to "Channel 2 News", but her mouth doesn't match the words she says. In later games like Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, she was reporting for "Channel 64 News", as was originally intended during development of the first game.
The King of Fighters XIV

In a developer interview by Famitsu, the development team stated that the reason they decided to add South American and China teams was because the popularity of KOF in those regions and (in the case of China) because Chinese players didn't know Team Psycho Soldier was technically Team China. They also confirmed that they wanted to add stereotypical Shaolin fighters into the China Team, but after taking a trip to the country, they realized everyone was super fashionable and so they added cool-looking characters instead.

This is also the reason why Nelson (from Team South America) is a cool looking character rather than a typical buff-looking boxer.

In March 2012, producer Takashi Iizuka was asked on a interview if there was going to be an Episode III. He said:

"We are looking forward to hearing the feedback from the users for Episode 2, but we are currently not planning to release another episode. We just want to see how the users accept this episode."

In January 2015, Ken Balough said in a Facebook reply that they were plans for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode III, but for reasons "that can't be discussed", it was scrapped.

Despite speculation to the contrary, Sawada is unarmed in the game. The "katana" shown was intended at the time to be a "motion blur"; given a conflict between the two Capcom branches, however, flicker transparency was not applied and it was instead left solid. His slashing attacks were intended to have an ethereal appearance to them, akin to the Hadoken. The designers argued for the flicker effect but were instead denied, and as a result opted for a look based on Mortal Kombat's effects at the time.

During the trailer of the game from E3 2010, Pauline uses the same audio from the previous Mario vs. Donkey Kong games, but in the final game, she has a larger speaking role and her own unique voice.

Attachment Menat's design had gone through several different changes during it's development. Among those scrapped concepts include being a "Pizza Assassin" whose personality and mannerims were based on B.B Hood/Bulleta from the Darkstalkers series, a delinquent named Rita and a magician; during this stage of development she was meant to be an Italian like Rose. Later on she was considered to use other objects to attack, including smoke, golden dust, and being a tahtib fighter that uses a staff; this is the stage in which Capcom settled for Menat to be an Egyptian.

Attachment There is an unused Great Saiyaman transformation for Gohan in his school uniform complete with an unused icon, name and description. It grants all the same benefits as the Super Saiyan transformation but it doesn't use any ki.

Designer Phillip Campbell stated in an interview with Edge Online that Quantic Dream had at one point intended to feature character animations based on the "signature moves" of David Bowie, who composed the game's soundtrack and voiced Boz and the Dreamers. However, when Bowie stated that he didn't have any signature moves, he brought in his choreographer, Edouard Locke, who was then motion-captured performing Bowie-esque techniques.
