Within the game's code are items colloquially known as "seeds" (their real names in the game's internal memory consist of garbled data) that spawn landscape objects (such as trees, rocks, or buildings) when dropped. The game uses these items to implement the layout of each randomly generated town.

Through cheating, it is possible to place these "seeds" in the player's inventory and spawn landscape features as they please, though they will not appear until the player has entered and exited a building. Placing these objects is irreversible, and it is possible to softlock or brick the game if they are dropped in excess or otherwise abused.

In the game's opening cutscene, Amigo uses his own maracas as a racquet and Dr. Eggman uses multiple racquets from his backpack. However, both of them use regular racquets during the actual game.

For example, Mike Haggar from the Final Fight series was going to appear on Karin's stage via an elevator that would automatically go up and down, but was cut for being "too random". An example of a stage being cut completely was a military base that contained huge robots and aliens, which was removed for having little to no relation with the storyline.
Platform: Virtual Boy

Early iterations of the Virtual Boy also included a gun that could be set on a flat surface, which would project a 3D hologram-like image into the air.

Attachment A 2016 Ultra Jump interview details the process that went into deciding which characters to feature in the game. The developer claims that there were 120 characters put up for consideration and that the list was gradually shortened to 80, then finally 52.

Leone Abacchio made it up to testing, but they had problems getting Moody Blues to work with the game. Since Abacchio can't really fight in a straightforward way, the developers had to come up with a system where he would replay things that had happened in the stage and thus rely completely on his opponent's power to battle. However, he was eventually dropped because the player couldn't control him precisely.

Besides Abacchio, several others nearly made the cut including Ringo Roadagain, Tarkus, Bruford, "people from Morioh", and "a bunch of others".

Several pieces of artwork drawn by comic book artist Nate Warren are featured in the game as unlockables. However, not every piece of artwork Warren drew made it in to the final game. Three pieces of artwork were cut from the game, due to them being too risque and potentially compromising the game's "E for Everyone" rating. These include the character art for the character Elise, a scene of the girls covered in snow, and a scene of a dance party. The character art for Elise was redrawn and included in the final game, however.
The Simpsons: Hit & Run

Almost every playable character has unused voice clips that would have most likely played when they destroyed a wasp camera. Homer is the only one to use the voice clips, although it's actually used for destroying power couplings in the "Blind Big Brother" mission in Level 1.

This message does not otherwise appear during the level and is the only level to have such a text. As it suggests, it was likely used when the stage was being constructed.

Dickson has two unused callouts for Melia and Riki, despite the fact neither Melia or Riki can be in the party with Dickson at the same time. Strangely, these two lines aren't present in the Japanese release.
Super Mario 64 DS

Attachment Found within the game's data is an unused Red Koopa Troopa that can only appear through hacking methods. Unlike the green Koopa Troopas found in the game, the red ones will attempt to run at the player and knock them around similar to Bullies. When knocked out of their shells, they'll slowly walk back into them instead of panicking like the green ones do. In addition, their shells cannot be ridden. Instead, they will only slide along the ground like in previous Mario games, killing enemies in their path until they break against a wall. If a Red Koopa Troopa is eaten by Yoshi, he'll spew out fire like he does when eating one in Super Mario World.
Team Fortress 2

During the 2012 Pyromania update, animations of all nine classes burning alive were added to the game and never used. It is unknown why this was done.
