Attachment The Japanese version The course "Moo Moo Farm" is called "Moh Moh Farm". This is because the Japanese onomatopoeia for mooing sounds like "mo͞o", with a long "O" sound.

The Adventures of Bayou Billy
1
In the Japanese version of the game, known as Mad City, it is possible to run from Annabelle in the final sequence. Avoiding her for long enough will reveal the worst ending. This sequence was cut in the american localization of the game.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
1

When one of these levels is accessed in the Japanese version, a special title card will be shown which translates to "Yoshi's Island - Hollow Grassland".
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
1
The US version of the game featured e-Reader support. The support would allow players to scan 5 different cards to unlock 5 new levels. This was not widely known as only 1000 of the card packs were produced and given away as part of a special promotion. The European release of the game had the feature removed completely.

The Famicom comes built in with the 2A03 chip, and has five audio channels: two square waves, one triangle wave, one noise generator, and one digital sample (DPCM) channel. On top of this, six expansions were created by both Nintendo and third parties. They are:

• Famicom Disk System sound: adds an extra channel with custom wavetable capabilities. (Example: Zelda, Metroid, etc. Most but not all Disk System games)
• Nintendo MMC5: Adds two square waves identical to the 2A03 square waves and a PCM channel. This is the only expansion that the international NES could use. (Example: US/European Castlevania III)
• Konami VRC6: Adds two square waves but has 8 duty cycles (voices) instead of the standard 4. Also adds a sawtooth wave. (Example: Akumajou Densetsu (Japanese Castlevania III)
• Konami VRC7: Adds six FM channels with 15 built-in patches (instruments) and the ability to create 64 unique patches. (Example: Langrage Point)
• Namco 163: Adds up to eight channels with definable waves. (Example: Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II)
• Sunsoft 5B: Adds 3 50% pulse waves (stuck on one voice). Can be manipulated to generate noise, sawtooth, or triangle waves. (Example: Gimmick!)

Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble

The box-art for the North American and European versions of the game strangely shows Dr. Robotnik's likeness from Adventures of Sonic the Hedghehog, which isn't seen in game.

Due to some unknown error, many US copies of the SNES version are missing the KONG letter 'G' in the level Rocket Rush. All other regions and the GBA re-release have the letter present.
Spyro: Year of the Dragon

Some pieces of music can only be heard on an NTSC copy of the game. Some of the music can still be found on the PAL disc, but do not play for unknown reasons.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Attachment In the Japanese version of the game, dying as Alucard against certain bosses such as Succubus, Death or Richter triggers a special quote from said bosses instead of the usual Game Over music, with Richter notably having two. Another quote can be triggered if the player dies after meeting Maria in the Royal Chapel but before meeting Richter at the Colosseum

While the US and EU versions do not implement these, there are unused translated versions of Richter, Maria and the Succubus' lines, spoken by their English voice actors.

Maria: "I thought you might be the one. But, I was wrong."

Succubus: "Now, you'll be my own personal slave. Ahahahahahahaha!"

Richter: "Hah, I knew it! Only the Count is a true match for me!" / "More, fight more! My blood is not yet quenched!"
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
1
Attachment In the international Wii release, only Mario and Sonic can be seen skiing and snowboarding on the game's front cover. In the Japanese and Korean versions of the game, Amy, Knuckles, Luigi, and Peach can also be seen skiing and snowboarding.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
1
There is a confessional booth in the Royal Chapel area, complete with chairs that the player can sit on. If the player sits on the left hand side of the booth, Alucard sits and leans over to the counter, confessing sins. Sitting on the right will cause Alucard to sit normally as if to hear confessions while a female ghost appears, confessing her own sins or attacking Alucard depending on her color.

If a blue robed ghost priest appears, he sits on the right hand side and hears Alucard's confession, before crossing himself and sometimes leaving behind the Grape Juice item. In the Japanese version of the game (as well as all regional releases of the PSP port) the blue ghost speaks a line wherein he allows Alucard rest in said booth and offers a prayer to God.

While the blue ghost says nothing at all in the US and EU Playstation releases, an unused audio file can be found in the data of a perfect English translation of the blue ghost priest's line from the Japanese version.

"Come, son. Rest here. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."

One Piece: Unlimited World RED

Attachment The description for Punk Hazard usually reads, "The land of ice and fire. A difficult battle awaits in this hostile environment." In the US 3DS version however, the description reads, "Beware the tear-inducing assault it unleashes when cut. Cook it to draw out its natural sweetness.". This seems to be a glitch where the game replaces Punk Hazard's description with that of the Super Onion's description. This glitch is only found in the 3DS version.
StarTropics
1
Due to the word Yo-Yo being copyrighted in Canada, the "Island Yo-Yo" was re-named to "Island Star" on the Virtual Console release of the game to avoid any infringement.

Attachment The US box art for the game was slightly altered to cover up both Nami's and Robin's chests.
