At the very end of the game, Spoiler:you can save the creatures who taught you the Wall Jump (the Etecoons) and the creatures who taught you the Super Boost Jump (the Dachora). You can save them during the self-destruct sequence after beating Mother Brain.

Spoiler:These creatures are present in Metroid Fusion, which takes place after Super Metroid, suggesting that saving the animals occurs in the canon ending to the game. This time they save Samus from the explosion of the station.

Attachment A Biting Plant Flower can be found very early in the game by feeding fruit to a Biting Plant in the Forest of All Beginnings. Since this method is easily avoided by taking the fruit yourself, a second and more commonly acquired Biting Plant Flower is located in the Underground Maze. The flower is used by being added to a cauldron. If both items are obtained and one is put into the cauldron, the other is useless and cannot be removed from the inventory. That said, you can put the second flower into the cauldron along with the first as long as the flower isn't the last item added to the cauldron.

In Episode 1: The Road to the Big Windmill, if you skip the Sun Sprite after you defeat the Polluted Piranha Plant and go up the windmill you can battle Petey Piranha. This is the only episode in the entire game that can be skipped. Also, on the way up the windmill a Pianta will say that you are getting ahead of yourself, this is a reference to Super Mario 64 where you can get Power Stars which are not necessarily Mario's current objective.

Attachment There are a few inconsistencies between the Omega Metroid in this game and the ones in Metroid II: Return of Samus. The first is the size of it, as it was 150% Samus' size in Metroid II, but is now twice her size. This could be linked to the baby Metroid in Super Metroid, who grew larger late into the game. Another inconsistency is the fact that it's only weakness in Metroid Fusion is the Ice Beam, when the Ice Beam had no effect in Metroid II.
