Attachment In a released concept art in Kirby's Dream Collection, an unknown knight was shown with red butterfly-like wings. Since this artwork was in Meta Knight’s section, many presumed it to be Meta Knight's beta design. However, in a Nintendo Dream magazine interview with Shinya Kumazaki, he confirmed that the design was originally for an entirely different knight that would have appeared in the cancelled Kirby GameCube game. This design would later be used for Morpho Knight in Kirby Star Allies, ​​​​except with a different sword.

According to the Developers of Metropolis Street Racer, to record the audio for the cars, they rented a Mercedes SLK. They tested the car on a test track with microphones attached to the car, recording the sound of each gear until, unexpectedly, the engine blew.

They had to tow the car to a country lane where they could call the AA. They fixed the engine and returned the car but unfortunately, the hire company saw the SLK's engine management report and billed Sega thousands for a replacement engine.

Attachment In the Japanese release, there are four mini-games available to play through the use of the PocketStation peripheral, a special LCD memory card device with PDA features not released outside of Japan. However, using a GameShark device in the western version, you can unlock the PocketBot menu in the Gesellschaft's HQ. Attachment In most versions of the game, there's a way to fight a secret character called Reptile. Deciphering the clues that are given in between random matches will lead the player to finish a fight on The Pit stage with two perfect rounds, without blocking, and when shadows pass over the moon. If this is done, the next round will be with Reptile, who has a combination of Sub-Zero and Scorpion's move sets, as well as displaying Scorpion's name.

According to Guinness World Records, Reptile is certified as the first ever secret character in a fighting game.
