Attachment In the North American localization, when reading one of the ancient bookshelves, it reads
"Still, coming here has at least afforded me the rare chance to explore these ancient ruins. So ancient. Such ruin." This is a reference to the popular "Doge meme". The European and Japanese localizations of the game, however, have no reference to the meme.
God of War: Ascension

In International territories, the game was marketed as a Blaster Master title. The game is titled Blaster Master Boy in North America, but is titled Blaster Master Jr. in Europe.
Air Zonk
1
Attachment The game's intro differs between versions. In the Japanese version, Zonk will be seen ramming through the logo, while the American version will show Bonk on top of a building turning into Zonk and then flying off screen. The game's American intro can still be seen in the Japanese version if the player doesn't press anything on the title screen. There are two direct references to Hideo Kojima's previous game, Policenauts, in the game. In Hal's lab where the player first fights Gray Fox, there is a Policenauts poster on the northern wall. When talking to Otacon, he begins to express his love for Japanese animation and robots, showing footage from Policenauts as well.

Attachment In the Japanese version, before the fight against Captain Barbossa and the Illuminator in "Isla de Muerta, Port Royal" (1st visit), a cutscene plays of Jack Sparrow impaled by Captain Barbossa's sword off-screen, unlike in the film "Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" in which it is shown on-screen.
