Attachment Gandhi's aggressiveness is set to 1 by the game (on a 1-10 scale). If an AI adopts Democracy as a government, the game notches their aggressiveness down by 2. However, aggressiveness is stored as a single byte value, ranging from 0-255, so if Gandhi adopts Democracy, his aggressiveness will roll under to 255. He very rapidly turns from peaceful to murderous, and will then attempt to acquire and build nukes at all costs. The developers have given Gandhi a preference for nukes in subsequent games as a running joke.

Sir Daniel Fortesque's voice was originally performed by the game's lead designer, Jason Wilson, in MediEvil, after the developers auditioned several actors but could not find anyone they were happy with. In the end, Wilson stepped in to do the voice himself, allegedly reading the lines through gritted teeth while wearing a bucket on his head to get the right effect.

In MediEvil 2, Fortesque was played by British voice actor Marc Silk, with Jason Wilson reprising the role in the PSP reimagining MediEvil: Resurrection. French actor Stephane Cornicard portrayed Dan in his appearance in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, who Wilson criticized as sounding "a little too much like the Swedish Chef for my liking".

MediEvil

Attachment When the game was released in Japan, there were several alterations to the gameplay and graphics. These largely consisted of slight changes to cutscenes and alterations to gameplay that made it more difficult.

The most noticeable change is to Sir Dan's character design. Both his in-game and FMV model were changed to have a golden helmet, matching the one that he wore when he was still alive. The helmet can be unequipped in-game, but Dan will always be wearing it in FMVs except for the final cutscene where it is blown off.
According to the game's lead designer, Jason Wilson, the helmet was added because of a fear that Japanese audiences would react badly to Dan's skeletal design, and that they would not see him as a hero.

His eye was also given an iris, whereas in the original it only had a black pupil. This change was retained in all versions of the game's sequel.
