WWE All Stars
1
Attachment A spiritual successor to the game called "WWE Brawl" was in development by THQ, and was announced April 3, 2011 (the day before Wrestlemania 27). From the trailer, the game appeared to be a fighting game similar to the Power Stone series of games.

The first trailer was released early July on THQ's official Youtube channel, but was later removed along with all mentions of the game from their site. The game was eventually cancelled, possibly due to THQ's financial problems throughout 2011, or due to poor sales of WWE All Stars.
Batman: Arkham Origins
1
Attachment At the Arkham Origins panel at Comic Con 2013, it announced that there would be a special reward for players who cleared 100% of the game - a new skin dubbed the "Worst Nightmare" Batsuit. It was to be a physical representation of how Batman's enemies viewed him as a mythical monster at the time. The costume was cut during development, however it does appear in game during cutscenes as how Joker sees Batman.

The reasoning for making the game's characters into squids was because of their ability to shoot ink. Rather than being octopuses, the development team chose squids because of their arrow-like shape, allowing the player to see which direction the players on the map are facing.
Splatoon
1
The environment was made realistic because spreading ink all over the place reminded the development team of vandalism.

Attachment King Diamond's makeup and necklace had to be changed in the game to exclude any Crosses, as to make sure that nobody would be offended. King Diamond made the changes on his makeup and necklace himself.

"Upside down crosses on the face was not quite acceptable. Actually, any kind of cross painted on the face might have had a sense of 'blasphemy' to some of all the business partners involved in this big venture. The same goes for the upside down cross necklace." - King Diamond
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
1
Nemesis was confirmed not to appear in the original Marvel vs. Capcom 3 release due to being deemed "too gruesome", with risk of changing the game's rating. Capcom reworked Nemesis' animations to make him work within a T rated game.
Plague Inc.
1
Attachment James Vaughn, the game's developer, was invited to speak at the Center of Disease Control, or CDC for short, in March 2013. Vaughn spoke about how he modeled the spread of infection in the game as well as how Plague Inc. can raise awareness and educate the public on the spread of disease. The CDC later commented on this by saying "The game creates a compelling world that engages the public on serious public health topics".

The Super-Duper Mart and the first Wasteland Survival Guide quest that accompanies it were likely thought up after an electrical storm knocked power out for 8-10+ hours in the Bethesda studio. Todd Howard and several other staff members went to a local Supermarket, using an iPhone to light their way across the pitch-dark aisles and essentially began to brainstorm ideas from that experience.

Xion seems to have been named after the Shion flower (more commonly know as Aster Tataricus). In Hanakotoba (Japanese flower language), Shion is used to convey "memory" or "to remember someone." Spoiler:This could be a reference to her being made out of Sora's memories and/or a cruel irony on the fact that nobody remembers her by the end of the game.
