FNaF World
subdirectory_arrow_right Chipper & Sons Lumber Co. (Game)
1
The secret boss Chipper's Revenge is a direct reference to Scott Cawthon's previous game, Chipper & Sons Lumber Co.. His post-battle dialogue even has him lamenting about how his world was "lush and beautiful, full of strange and colorful creatures", only to fall into obscurity due to players wanting to be scared and feel dread, suggesting that he's jealous of Freddy's success.

His normal self, Mr. Chipper, would later be added to the game as a playable character in the Version 2 update.

The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog
1
Early plans for the game had Charmy Bee and Cream the Rabbit involved in the game's plot, but these were scrapped as the devs felt that they were too young to participate in a murder mystery party game.
Doom 3
1
Attachment In 2002, the alpha version of Doom 3 had been leaked online. In this alpha version, the logo used for Doom 3 looked markedly different from its final version, using stylized roman numerals like one of its predecessors Doom II: Hell on Earth.

Double Dribble
2
Attachment The NES version is notorious for its poor-quality voice samples, which among other things resulted in numerous mondegreens of the game's title. This is due to an oversight born out of an idiosyncrasy with the console's hardware: the NES's Ricoh 2A03 chip reads DPCM samples' bytes from right to left, whereas the samples themselves are programmed to be read from the traditional left to right. This oversight was not discovered until 2020, when a user on the NesDev forums accidentally reversed the bit order of the game's DPCM samples, resulting in significantly improved playback quality.

This issue is not limited to Double Dribble, with similar bit order errors occurring in Abadox: The Deadly Inner War, Ufouria: The Saga, Bomberman II, Mr. Gimmick, Klax, Sword Master, and A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia, among others.
Crazy Cheebo: Puzzle Party
subdirectory_arrow_right Crazy Frog (Franchise)
1
Crazy Cheebo: Puzzle Party was originally intended as a game starring the cult ringtone mascot The Annoying Thing/Crazy Frog titled Crazy Frog Collectables: Faces, following the naming scheme of Crazy Frog Collectables: Art School. However, the bankruptcy of publisher Mercury Games resulted in the game being shelved, with developer Cypronia stepping in to publish the games themselves with an original Crazy Frog-inspired character in place of the license. A leftover menu icon for the Crazy Frog revision of the game can be found in the files.
Cart Fury: Championship Racing
1
Attachment Inside the files of the PlayStation 2 version of CART Fury: Championship Racing is a silent video of Kermit the Frog talking taken from Muppets Inside, a game that was developed by a different studio.
Double Dribble
subdirectory_arrow_right Family Guy (Franchise)
2
In a 2016 Family Guy episode titled "Run, Chris, Run!", footage was used from a YouTube video of a glitch in the NES game Double Dribble by user Sw1tched without permission from either Sw1tched or Konami. This would result in the footage being added to YouTube's content ID system as Family Guy footage and accidentally removed. The video was eventually reinstated after intervention from show creator Seth MacFarlane.

The playable T-Rex has been dubbed the "Lonely T-Rex" by developers.
Chrome Dino
2
Additional animations were considered for the T-Rex, including roaring and a kick inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog, but these were scrapped to keep the animation rigid.
Chrome Dino
2
During development, Chrome Dino was named "Project Bolan" affter Marc Bolan, lead singer of the band T. Rex.
Chrome Dino

The desert backdrop and cacti hazards of the Chrome dinosaur game originate from an earlier iteration of the Google Chrome offline screen.
Chrome Dino
2
Due to the popularity of the Google Chrome dinosaur game, Google was forced to give the option for system administrators to deactivate the game following complaints of decreased productivity in students and workers.
Chrome Dino
2
The Google Chrome dinosaur game is most popular with users from countries with unreliable or expensive broadband, such as India, Brazil, Mexico, or Indonesia.
Chrome Dino
2
The Google Chrome dinosaur game is coded to conclude after playing for 17 million years straight, the same amount of time between the dinosaurs' evolution and extinction. This is, quite obviously, not realistically possible for any player.
Chrome Dino
2
The concept of the Google Chrome dinosaur minigame is a play on the ubiquity of the Internet in modern society, suggesting that being without it is like being teleported to the Stone Age.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
1
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's spirit list comes incredibly close to serving as a comprehensive list of all Nintendo IPs as of 2018, but is mostly lacking content from three specific categories:

•Games that did not receive Japanese releases, such as Tin Star, Magnetic Soccer, and StarTropics (It should be noted that characters introduced in localized versions of Japanese releases, such as Rusty Slugger from Rusty's Real Deal Baseball and the Elite Beat Agents, are featured).
•Arcade games that did not receive ports to Nintendo consoles, such as Monkey Magic, Arm Wrestling, and Sky Skipper. The only exception is Sheriff, likely due to his role as an Assist Trophy.
•Games released exclusively through the WiiWare service. Although there is a spirit from the Fluidity series (which originally released as a WiiWare title), the character in question depicted is Eddy, the main protagonist of the Nintendo 3DS sequel, Fluidity: Spin Cycle.
