Eek! The Cat
1
Attachment Eek! the Cat has been noted for having an unusually dark color palette that makes the graphics hard to read. This is not the result of a faulty brightness register, but simply how the game's palettes are stored in the code. Marketing materials for the game show screenshots that are much brighter in palette and closer to both, the game's original form as Sleepwalker and its cartoon source material, meaning that the palette error was likely a mistake made late in the game's development.

1
There is a rumor that claims that Rob Paulsen, the voice actor who provided the voice for Bubsy in Bubsy 2, Bubsy in: Fractured Furry Tales, and the 1993 Bubsy cartoon pilot hated the character and regretted taking the gig. However, Paulsen has stated that he does not regret his role in the Bubsy franchise and would do the voice again for future Bubsy projects if paid to.

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee
2
Attachment During the run-up to the game's release, SoBe aided the promotion by giving away a number of Oddworld-themed decorated goods, and Oddworld Inhabitants were able to return the favour by replacing a number of Health Up Vendos in the North American version with SoBe vending machines that function the same way. However, this lead to a number of fans thinking that Oddworld Inhabitants had sold out and refused to ever have any association with Oddworld ever again, resulting in them being removed entirely from the PAL versions of Munch's Oddysee. This removal even applied to all the re-releases of the game except for the PC and Switch versions, where the SoBe vending machines are retained in some of the levels.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
1
Attachment Stranger was originally intended to have a type of live ammo from critters known as Surge Bugs, but they were dropped for unknown reasons.
Star Fox: Assault
2
In the cinematic that plays after defeating now former Star Wolf member Andrew Oikonny, a strange aparoid appears firing a beam at one of the characters. In the Japanese version it's done to Slippy, whilst in the Western versions it's done to Krystal.
Star Fox 64 3D
2
The North American release of the game was originally announced to be September 11, 2011, but it was pushed forward by 2 days, likely so that it wouldn't coincide with the 10-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks carried out against the United States on that same day.

There are 17 stages in the Super Smash Bros. series that (intentionally) contain the full title of a video game in their English name: Balloon Fight, Duck Hunt, Find Mii, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Bros., Minecraft World, Pac-Land, Paper Mario, Pokémon Stadium, Pokémon Stadium 2, Super Mario Maker, Tomodachi Life, Wii Fit Studio, Wrecking Crew, both stages titled Yoshi's Island, and Yoshi's Story.

Additionally there are Miiverse and the Pictochat stages but their source material’s status as "video games" are debatable.

Attachment If the New Donk City Hall stage loops three times, or a music track from the game Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is playing, Captain Toad will cameo on the stage. This references Super Mario Odyssey where Captain Toad will occasionally appear.

Attachment There is an achievement in the game called "Village Folks" accompanied with an image showing four creatures forming the letters Y M C A. The name is a reference to the band Village People and the image is referencing their hit song "YMCA".

In the Vehicle Creator, there's a Body part named the Kessel Runner. This is a reference to the hyperspace route named the Kessel Run in the Star Wars series which Han Solo notably used to tout the abilities of the Millennium Falcon.

Miraculous: Rise of the Sphinx
1
Attachment Thomas Astruc, the creator of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, was involved in the game's production, having drawn the original design for Chloé's new akumatized form, Clonika (originally known as "RepliQueen").
Spore Creature Keeper
subdirectory_arrow_right Nintendo DS (Platform)
1
Spore Creature Keeper was a spin-off game meant to make use of creatures made in its parent game, Spore and it was supposed to release on PC and DS. The gameplay was akin to Nintendogs where the player would pick a pet from the Sporepedia (encyclopedia of Spore creatures both Maxis made and player made) and raise them as a pet. The only footage of this game is a trailer and a few other snippets of gameplay. This game was ultimately canceled despite appearing to be a finished product, even having a EULA which can still be found online.

Meatly's Storage World
2
Meatly's Storage World, while not mocking any game in particular, was created in order to poke fun at the state of indie horror games at the time, even going as far as to call itself a "generic mascot horror game". This includes messages strewn about that don't offer much other than comedy, the main monster (based on TheMeatly's own puppet mascot) being a parody of various antagonists from throughout the genre, and the "Buy Merch" button on the main menu being larger than the "Start" button.

According to developer George Fergan, there was a debate within the team on who should be the villain of the LCD handheld games: some wanted to use Mr. Crumb, while others wanted to use Mr. Crool. In the end, they decided to use both for different versions, with Mr. Crumb being used in the more powerful Tiger 99x version and Mr. Crool being used in the cheap LCD version.
Harvester
2
Attachment The Steam version of the game replaces the original disc swap screen with a new graphic depicting the game's box art on a CD. Unusually, the render does not depict a generic CD, but rather depicts a disc made by PolyGram's CD manufacturing plant in North Carolina, as indicated by the silver disc hub and "MADE IN USA" stamp. The latter specifically dates the design to 1991-1992, when the plant slowly rebranded from Philips DuPont Optical to PolyGram Manufacturing and Distribution Centers.
