Attachment One of the music tracks in the Game Boy Advance version of The Hobbit, "The Magic Music Box" is plagiarized from "Singing Mountain", an unused song from Chrono Trigger that would initially be released on the game's 1995 soundtrack album and eventually be added into the DS version of the game.

There was a Spore spin-off flash game called Spore 2D Creature Creator and it was made to advertise another Spore spin-off title on the Wii called Spore Hero. It was an adaptation of the Creature Creator, but in a 2D sideview and it actually supported importing your 3D creatures from related Spore titles. Cookie's Bustle
3
In 2023, an unknown person by the name of Brandon White bought the UK rights to Cookie's Bustle under the fake company name of "Graceware" and began filing DMCA takedowns against any website or video with documentation of the game, in some cases fraudulently using the name of Nintendo, believed to be in an act of copyright trolling. This led to an uptick in interest in the game, with many content creators streaming, making fan works based on, and reviewing the game in retaliation.
Mappy
subdirectory_arrow_right Mappy (Collection)
1
Attachment The characters of Mappy and Goro/Nyamco predate the Mappy game by 2 and 3 years respectively, originally being designed as robots for Micromouse maze competitions. Unlike the similar situation with Pac-Man banks, these robots were made by Namco, making Mappy fully verifiable as both an official and intentional adaptation.
Q*bert
1
Q*Bert was originally able to shoot projectiles out of his nose, but this was scrapped in the final game. Co-creator Jeff Lee has said that, while he's unsure if this change enhanced the gameplay or not, he likes how the lack of offensive capabilities gives the character the personality of a "sympathetic plucky noser" who survives "by his wits and dexterity", particularly with the hindsight of how violent video games would become in the decades since.
Wreck-It Ralph
4
In late 2018, a trailer for the film's sequel "Ralph Breaks the Internet" premiered on TV as part of Disney Channel's "Movie Surfers" series. The first half of the trailer used almost 40 seconds of cutscenes from the 2012 Wii game based on the first movie, and used unreleased higher quality renders of these cutscenes rather than the compressed footage released in the game. This trailer also features a noticeably bad, ad-libbed narration from an unknown actor portraying Ralph; this actor does not sound like the original film's actor John C. Reilly, nor the soundalike actor used in the Wii game and commercials Brian T. Delaney. Considering the overall confusing cheapness of the trailer, it's not known why the show's producers chose to use unreleased HD renders of these cutscenes instead of footage from the first film which they had to have had access to and would have matched the visual quality of the film's sequel better.
Q*bert

1
Q*Bert co-creator Warren Davis, although highly grateful for the character's continued longevity, dislikes that modern portrayals of the character, such as those in Disney's Wreck-It Ralph, Adam Sandler's Pixels, and the Q*Bert: Rebooted game make his nose "flaccid".

Pong
subdirectory_arrow_right Peanuts (Franchise)
1
Attachment "Puppy Pong", a rare alternate cabinet design for Pong intended for use in non-coin-op environments such as waiting rooms or entrance-fee arcades, was originally designed after Snoopy from the Peanuts comic strip. However, the concept was rejected by Charles Schulz, leading to the creation of a generic puppy in Snoopy's place. An unthemed version titled "Dr. Pong" was also released.

Additionally there are Miiverse and the Pictochat stages but their source material’s status as "video games" are debatable.

A poster can be found in the game referencing the Seattle Seahawks, an American football team in the NFL. It shows a blue bird wearing a jersey that uses the number 12 referring to the "12th Man" term for their fanbase and the text at the bottom of the poster saying "World Champs 2014" which is referring to the football team's victory in 2013 at Super Bowl XLVIII.
