On the game's box-art, the clock on the tower to the left of the characters actually has thirteen roman numerals instead of twelve, and they are out of order. In addition to that, the two hands on the clock are pointing to 13 and the 7, representing the 7 lights and 13 darknesses that play a major role in this game's story. The clock tower itself bears a striking resemblance to the NTT Docomo building in Shinjuku, Japan.

Pokemon Sword & Shield
In the Eastern side of the Hammerlock Pavilion there is a little girl who asks the player to deliver a message to her friend in Ballonlea. However, when the player delivers it to said friend, they find that he is actually a middle-aged man. Adding to the eeriness of the scene, the man claims that the girl who sent the letter was a friend of his who he hasn't seen since childhood. If the player returns to where the child was, she won't be there, and if the player searches the exact area she was on, they will instead find a hidden Reaper Cloth (An item important to Ghost-type Pokémon), implying she may have been a ghost. Furthermore, if the player goes back to the man's house, a child will be standing facing the wall and state that she is having a conversation with someone. This seem to be part of a string of similar "Ghost Girl" Easter eggs seen in recent main-line Pokemon games,

Despite the game's ending revealing Jack the Ripper's true identity to be Spoiler:Jacob Levy, in reality there was no proof that he actually was. Whilst Spoiler:Levy definitely was a suspect in the real-life investigation, in actuality Jack the Ripper's true identity still remains unsolved to this date.

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
Remaining idlr on the game's title screen will cause a Demonstration Mode to play. When the third Demo plays, if the player holds down triangle as the screen fades to black, they can then control Coco during her flying stage. Should the player then pause and select the Warp Room option as if to exit a level early, they will skip the introduction cutscene and immediately begin a new game with all five power ups unlocked from the start.

It is unknown if this is an elaborate hidden cheat, a potential debug function Naughty Dog utilized during development, or just simply an mistake within the game's code.

Alternatively, completing the "level" as normal will spit Crash back out into Warp Room 4. Due to the gate being locked without standard progression the player is now stuck, only able to access those five respective levels.

In the PAL version, this same feature is performed with Start instead of Triangle.

Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

By datamining a demo build of the game, an image of Donkey Kong Jr. can be found, suggesting that he may have been planned to appear in the game instead of Diddy Kong. Interestingly, Diddy Kong's internal filename in the final version is listed as "dk_jr," suggesting that Diddy's appearance may have been a later addition.

Jak II
"Construction Site" is a relatively unimportant level in the game, with only a cutscene being played there and little else for the player to do. It is very likely, however, that this level was at one point meant to have a bigger role in the game. The level has a lot of collision at places that are not normally reachable, and there are text entries for unused mission names, including "Climb Construction Site" and "Find Baron at Construction Site"

Mother 3
Mother 3+, the game's physical soundtrack, contains a remix of Big Shot's theme. This remix is heavily based on the theme used in the trailer for Earthbound/Mother 64. The track's name, "A Great Person Theme", instead of "Big Shot's Theme", suggests that this particular version of the song was created earlier in the game's development, possibly when it was still planned to be a 64DD game.

The special ability for the Mini Toads, reducing their size to get under tight spaces (the Small Crawl), is possibly a reference to how the Mushroom power ups from the Mario franchise move around. The Mini Toads while doing so even slightly resemble Super Mushrooms.

Outside of Sirchester there is an NPC who states that he swam from the Kalos Region (from Pokémon X & Y) to the Galar Region. If what he says is true then this confirms that the two regions are in close proximity to each other just like their real-world European counterparts of the United Kingdom (Galar) and France (Kalos), which, in real life, are very close but separated by the English Channel.

The Legend of Zelda
In the publication "The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia" by Dark Horse Comics, it was strongly suggested that the entirety of the first legend of Zelda game actually takes place on Death Mountain. Furthermore there are a lot of similarities between the entire map of The Legend of Zelda and the Death Mountain portion of the overworld from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, giving more credence to the claim.

The Conner android has several possible references to the Terminator film franchise. Conner is an "RK800" model, just as Arnold Schwarzenegger's character from the films is a "T-800" model initially. The name of the robot from the game is "Conner" which is very similar to the surname of two central characters from the films: Sarah Connor and John Connor. The Trophy for letting Conner die every way possible is called "I'll Be Back" which comes from Schwarzenegger's icon line from the first Terminator film.

Animal Crossing
In an early announcement trailer for the Nintendo Gamecube, Animal Crossing was called (or at least promoted as) "Animal Forest for Nintendo Gamecube", outright referencing the original Japanese title of the game (Dōbutsu no Mori or "Animal Forest" in English). This suggests that either the English localizers were thinking of keeping the game's original title, albeit translated, or the title "Animal Crossing" was not yet finalized.

Hyrule Warriors
The "Under Siege" musical theme appears to be based on part of Gustav Holst's "Mars, the Bringer of War" suite from Opus no. 32 "The Planets", this is appropriate due to the heavy war theme of the game and the situation the characters are in when the theme plays.
